they have absolutely no idea what goes on their devices after they're manufactured...
So Google just randomly decides to lock random phone's bootloader for kicks?? Right >.> The LG Nexus 4 comes completely unlocked so someone must be making the decision.
I know for damn well that LG doesnt pass the device off to Google... If that were the case, every phone would be a nexus... I'm actually thinking about digging even deeper into the company after work. I WONT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!! haha. someone has got to budge. This phone is too powerful and been out wayyy to long to still be in Jail...
They have a few methods to restore devices, all w/o unlocking a thing, it simply reflashes everything.I added more to my previous comment because I couldn't leave my answer like that lol. Please do, go Agent 007 status if you must. I mean Lg already has the method to unlocking the phone because who the heck looks something and then doesn't have the unlock method?? How would they fixed bricked phones if they got any? I bet they would write a letter saying "Dear Customer, We are sorry to inform that we have locked this phone so strictly that we can't unbrick it. Excuse us for the inconvenience."
Good luck on that dev edition motion, doesnt exisit.Yeah, it kinda seemed to me like they wanted to beat around the bush and send me on a wild goose chase by telling me to speak with MetroPCS. But dont worry... Come lunch time I'm gunna climb that corporate ladder and find out exactly what it will take for the bootloader to unlock. I'm also gunna see if i cant get my hands on the Dev. Edition of the Motion. LG has never been great when it comes to support on the Software side of things.

I am not sure
It seems its the removal or tampering of certain stock google apps that also can screw your phone up.
Google has something do with something somewhere somehow
Yes that seems obvious but google is in on it.If google updates those apps, the updates have to meet certain requirements i would think
