Root [ROM][ALPHA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Connect 4G MS840

Awesome, thanks. What about the modems from VV3? I can pull them but again im lost on swapping it out lol!! Do you think its worth a shot? Im at work right now so I cant try much but maybe someone else will try the baseband or I will once I get out of here.

its the baseband and firmware partitions the zip flashes. I think they are from vv3, dont recall now, but if they arent I can pull em as that is whats on my connect. ;)

Ok I just tried it out but when I look under about phone it still shows baseband as "unknown" so it seems as its not sticking even after I flash the .zip you posted.

yea thats something else causing it not to show tho, not a sign of it not working. ;)
Yeah I remember that the ICC not showing up doesnt actually mean its not being read I just wasnt sure if that was the same case with the baseband not showing up, but apparently it is :( . Well.... we can √ that one off the board and move on to another suggestion, this isnt just about wanting CM anymore, its now personal :D

This sounds like the same issue we had with APNs sticking. Yeah the ICC# isn't showing but how can we be certain if its being read other than 4G showing up?

Sorry about being ghost for the last couple of weeks guys. One of my kids brought the superflu home from school, sure you know what went down from there... not 100% back yet, but almost ;)

Hey PG, is there some program or command that reads telephony info, like the ICC, network state, provisioning and such during the phone's boot up? I'm running out of ideas and after looking around a bit I can't find any info on the Android boot up process :(

Give me 5 mins and I will take the baseband from VV3 that I pulled and posted for ldrifta the other day and then I'll take PG's .zip and swap his baseband for mine and post it :D

UPDATE:
Ok for some goofy reason AF wont allow me to add my attachment so I once again had to use dropbox , but hey at least I got it posted for you guys right ;) so here you go, try and flash this and see if it shows VV3 for ya ---> (LINK)
