all i know is there is bound to be a leak, IE, Walmart selling the HD2 before it officially went on sale. I'm hoping the same might happen any time after the 25th at best buy. For me, i could care less where I buy it, i'm paying full retail. I'm going to store hopping starting the 25th looking for this badboy!
 
hey, my low hanging fruit age remark on Steven was well intended. I sadly have nothing to contribute to this forum in terms of scoops or news, or anything really worthwhile, so I have to take the pot shots.

I absolutely respect Steven for all he's done here. Seriously!

In all honesty, I was just trying to work a <b>Bazinga!</b> in there...
 
Wow - anon comes through again! I've seen soooo much official Verizon stuff with the phandroid logo....I'm convinced when I get the phone in my hand on the 29th its going to have a the phandroid watermark on it! (Half covering the Verizon logo...)

See here is what I was thinking, if it is going to be at all locations I might see if it is in stock at walmart a day or 2 before release and see if they will sell it to me. I know they are not supposed to sell it until the 29th but walmart employees sometimes don't care enough about there jobs or are too dumb to know about that. If I cant buy it there then I will just be waiting outside the local vzw day of sale

Ah; "Advanced Speech Recognition." I have been trying to figure out how the Incredible and the Nexus One will differ in terms of being able to take dictation for notes, appointments, emails, text messages, etc. This sounds promising. The Nexus One seems to have a specialized setup of front and back microphones and associated corresponding enhanced software/firmware, but I wasn't seeing this sort of capability claimed for the Incredible. Apologies if I posted this wrong. I finally registered so I could view the DROID INCREDIBLE by HTC LAUNCH PACKAGE image. 500 looks like batting a thousand.

I tried to check the About Phone, but all I got was hardware version 0002 (interesting) and of course Android 2.1.

I have a picture of the register ticket from the event. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the Incredible, but honestly, I would either be called shopper or something. It looks great, and it's completely real.

A REAL Coolbone guy would have missed school and got lots more info, but thanks for the info you did get. I would have missed school, but that is probably why I quit school early, bravo for getting your priorities right! When you get your degree you can buy me a Droid Magnifico. :D
 
So, when do we get an official VZW announcement? And when does that coming soon page go live?

Thoughts?

I personally think it would be announced tomorrow so people can be ready to preorder it on Monday. Plus that site said to sign up for information on when to preorder the phone so if the page went live on Monday that would defeat the purpose of that. eh?

Best Buy knows better to sell before release date. I am going to try walmart

I have been following this thread almost since the begining. I am super excited to get this phone when it finally comes out. I'm just wondering if anyone knows yet who will be getting this phone to review before it is released to the public? and when?

If I preorder I better have it on or before the 29th. Otherwise I'll be pissed because you guys will be on here talking about your phones and how badass they are while I drool from afar.

BTW I've never been so happy to give up 200 bucks. Seriously.

I am going to be ditching ATT to get this phone - How do pre-orders work with VZW if you are not a customer yet? i.e. will I have to set up my lines to pre-order or can I pre-order a phone and then set up my service when I pick up the phones?

You can keep your same number assuming you are a current verizon customer I am assuming?

Don't know about the preorder, but if you're a Verizon customer, you can get the Contact Backup app for free and go ahead and backup your contacts. Then run it on the Incredible to import. This is all assuming your existing phone is compatible.
