Just came over from the massive Incredible forum and apparently it has been leaked that VZW will be starting pre-orders on the 19th. Sprint? Anything? Bueller.....Bueller....Bueller.
I wanna leave VZW for the EVO. Just wanna get more info as to when I can bury my overpriced contract!!!!! LOL

This is the kind of thing Spring cannot Pre-up (to use a previous line from someone else). Instead of hemorrhaging customers, Sprint could actually increase customer base with a phone like this.

Haha I don't know what the deal is with people pre-ordering phones, besides the iphone I have never gone into a store on a release date of a phone that they were out and actually even for the iphone 3gs I walked into my att store at 11am and they still had one to sell I just didn't want one. HAHA
 
I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for all the info. This forum has become my one stop shop for everything EVO and before androidforums it was the official sprint forums until they went to crap with all the name calling. Luckily I followed Jackson here because he was the for runner. Personally, I can understand why people are so on the fence about getting the EVO or Incredible besides the fact that the are just impatient. From what I can tell sprint has the cheapest plans and in the long run will be less money out of my pocket so for now I can deal with my Moto Q9c with broken screen and failing parts. I also just wanted to mention how devoted I am to new information coming out this weekend. I purposely had my Wisdom teeth extracted this Tuesday and took the rest of the week off as sick leave so I could rest and read every post. (Not really just happened to turn out that way) Anyway, I just wanted to show my appreciation to this forum and hope that my two cents might be worth something.
 
Even if it was a terribly kept secret, why was Verizon able to announce a superphone and then release it a couple of weeks later? Lets get on it sprint.

Given Sprints track record of over-promising and under-delivering, this is a face-saving method given their financial status. If they come out early, good for them, if it takes them longer to properly market and deploy the device, then they didn't fail a deadline.

Yep. HTC Incredible available 2 weeks from now for $200. Sprint needs to make their announcement before then. Hopefully no higher than $250, hopefully they come out and confirm no extra charge for 4G, and hopefully a release sometime in May. Don't think anyone who's set on the Incredible is going to wait another month when they can buy the phone they've been waiting for and the carrier they prefer.
 
still not able to log in to sprint.com its a longshot but i think something will be happening to it tonight or in the morning. something to do with the evo........... :evilgrin:

I think the problems with the website stem from beyond the EVO. Sure they plan on shedding more light on the EVO on their website, but if you go to Sprint's facebook Sprint | Facebook and look at the complaints, this is more than a delayed update. They have issues. Hopefully they resolve them by tomorrow so they can get this new EVO info out smoothly.
 
oh and the people commenting on that page are complete idiots lol. "hurry up and fix the site god dammit!" "i cant figure out what is wrong with my phone. it wont turn on. do i have to charge it?" "wats an evo?" oh god. face to keyboard... iuhn'prfgmn

Does anyone think we can pay attention to reviews of the HTC Droid Incredible to get a sense for the EVO4G? The specs are pretty similar, save for 720P video and 4G.
