I can't see why anyone would now continue to hold out for the N1. By the time that thing comes out (if it ever does, and at this point what is the point) it'll be two or three phones in the deep.

Here's a fun little piece from Verizon themselves to the sales people:

The power of Android, the usability of HTC Sense and the reliability of our 3G network have all come together to create one incredible device: the new DROID Incredible by HTC. Here are 5 selling points of our newest smartphone, which will be available on April 29th:

I just wanted to verify that I don't need to be on an individual plan because I'm on a family plan out of contract and eligible for upgrade. I can still get the Droid Incredible and stay on my family plan right? I was reading the press release and it didn't mention family plans or upgrades at all. Thanks.

Anon - I know you said to chill for a minute, but I was on a "roll" ;)

I have friends who are holding on because they prefer the better battery, quick(er) updates from Google (and are looking forward to Flash), and like the noise cancelling dual mics. There are still reasons to go for the N1, just not very many that would stop someone from jumping on the Inc.

I thought everyone on the interwebz had a 5,000 sf house and a couple of Mercedes in the 6 car garage? I mean I do, and I have 4% body fat, own several businesses and I am the most interesting man I know.

This thread will go down in History!!! We will tell our grandchildren of this great and glorious day! We will tell them of the legends of this thread and the life-changing info they provided. We will tell them how flippin' lazy we were at work, browsing this thread and getting nothing else done for days & weeks on end! OK.....maybe not that part.....

Anonimac got lost and needs directions. He doesn't the new google turn by turn gps directions feature. tsk. tsk. tsk.

I've never bought a phone online so I have a question..

When the D.I is delivered on the 29th what do I have to do to activate my phone so it is functional in every way (calling, texting, data)

Also, is the only way to transfer my contacts and pics from my DUMB PHONE to the D.I to take it into a Verizon Store and have it done by cellebrite machine?

thanks.

I would set up a gmail account and import them into your Google contacts. Once you have your contacts in Google they will sync nicely to your phone.

ok so on the high res pics you can see what looks like a mic on the back. I am guessing this is for video recording. So do you think it could be a software fix to turn this into the noise cancellation?

i wonder if you can turn off friendstream... since i dont use any social networking sites

Friend Stream is an HTC widget. Just don't add the widget to your home screen. If it is already on one of your home screens, just remove it by long pressing the widget and draging it to the bottom of the screen until the phone button changes to a remove button and then release.
