Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10.1, AOKP42)

Ok so....

Using Pacman rom... I set my UI to the larget tablet size (which I was enjoying fine). But then I clicked something in the recents menu... and somehow enabled pie.

Now, none of my tablet modes have a statusbar. It shows in the selection as statusbar.clock - 0. I believe this is gone because of pie... since pie replaces the nav/status bar, but i cant for the life of me figure out how to disable pie.

Any ideas?

There is a pie toggle/tile. That's what I used.

Yea but I know what he talking about.. I had the same happen to me.

Turn off pie with the toggle, then turn it back on. You'll never have that issue again
It's a weird glitch in how our hardware buttons jive with the feature on first run. :)

Haven't heard back from anyone of you about my previous post.....

Could you pls. help??

I'm on CM10.1 Feb 18 build of TDM,with my spectrum VS920 4G, but I cant seem to be able to configure my outlook.com account thru my phone's exchange. I read other folks here having similar issues. Could someone pls. look into this and let me know if updating my build to latest would solve that ?

The interesting point is that my outlook.com configures well and works fine in Touchdown app with bay-m.hotmail.com as server but same settings fail in native exchange/email app - Obviously that points to something wrong with native exchange profile or settings. And I really need this for me to continue using the device and CM10.1 and sync it directly with my email/calendar/contacts in outlook.com in native CM10.1 email app itself.

Pls. help...thanks in advance guys...

Sorry I don't use the exchange stuff because I don't trust my company it staff (or anyone) with the power to wipe my phone.

I use exchange, but through godaddy instead. It works fine, and has been since before official support. I don't know if I used the feb 18th build or not so I can't say anything concerning it specifically, but I'm currently using the 4-4 build and its fine on that.

I've been using tdm's builds since day one and exchange has always worked for me.

I have to manually configure and the 'domain' is really important, even though most mail apps say it's optional.

Pacman ROM is awesome good job tdm are you going to start a new thread?

Can someone please point me at a link to this Pacman ROM for the Spectrum?
All my search effort has only led to other devices.

Thanks, still runnin the ICY 4.0.
Rock solid for a WiFi device. Had to switch my service to my DInc 2 for the Hotspot and steady data signal.

Try scrolling back a couple pages on this thread. Tdm posted a link for his build.

Thanks, found it in post #583.
It's the start of camping season and the WiFi here is getting bogged down.
44 KB/s is the best I can get from my DInc 2 and VomitRizen using Energy ROM with hotspot.;)

Have you tried outlook.com. what settings. I used manual too.

Oh, no, I'm using the exchange server for my company. Don't you have external access for the exchange server for your account? Outlook should only be used if necessary, not as default.

Still working on getting support for pacman. The devs are hard to reach.

Also looking into adding the density magic from paranoid into aokp to avoid play store issues.

And I've long thought about disabling remote wipe altogether to avoid the exchange concerns. Might give that a try. But it wouldn't be in an official ROM because that would raise the ire of company sysadmins.

Yea, I can't use the stock email app, because my company requires remote wipe. Using an app like Moxier circumvents those security requirements.

Hi- just so we are clear, outlook.com gibes me ability to wirelessly sync contacts calendar and email between my desktop computer at home and my mobile. And its a robust technology - that's why I switched from gmail to outlook- I suggest you guys consider that too.

Butthis issue is really about the native exchange functionality not working whereas touchdown app works fine.

Maybe tdm wants to look into where the issue is in cm10.1 since in stock many folks reported that xchnge works fine. Will be a big help indeed. Thanks.

Many folks report that exchange works fine in cm10.1 also... I'm one of them. You will probably end up needing to pull a log of some sort showing the failure to connect since the issue would appear to be specific to your setup.

As I discovered while helping disable button backlights in this thread PACman Rom doesn't have init.d support enabled by default like most custom roms do.

Not really a huge deal for most folks I guess. But if you're using anything that depends on it (custom startup scripts, V6 supercharger, etc). Make sure you enable init.d using any of the methods out there. Definitely noticing better performance (at least imo) after running V6supercharger once I enabled init.d on PACman. Almost doubled my free ram. However, it didnt do anything for me without init.d

Exactly. It works fine for me with the stock app, as it does with an aftermarket one. The issue most like lies in a configuration problem.

I personally had to give up on pacman rom because my phone kept cutting off. Three times in 24 hours my phone would just cut off on me. There were other issues with it as well like the navigation buttons wouldn't go away. Everytime I would disable them they would come back anytime I changed something on my phone. Also the tablet settings UI isn't very appealing to me and not being able to change it is a fail on the developers part.. The rom is a really nice concept and would be great if it had a few features that I personally missed. I also noticed some lag in the general animations throughout the UI interaction. The weird thing is that on aokp42 I have bad lockscreen lag and almost perfect smoothness in the UI, and in pacman I have no lockscreen lag and slight UI studder...strange. Mainly for me the phone cutting off issue was a deal breaker. I run a business with my phone and it needs to be at least half way dependable. I say half way because lately thats about all I can expect out of this phone.

I still think it's awesome you got this working tdm. thanks
