I am very happy with it.
Its best phone i ever had. And will be better whem fm reciever and transmitter 5 gig wifi are complletly functional .
I wish i could figure out to modify a few radio settings.
I dont particuly like ics. I think its ics that causes problems sd card. Webrowser.but i can deal with it.
Since i have three motions i want to attempt to modify a kernel to run using kexec. So it will run linux if possible.
The kernel already supports partition swapping.
Dont necessarily need to overclock (would if i could)

You'll also need to verify that the kernel supports loop mounting for it to run Linux. That was a big holdup for porting Linux back in the days of the EVO4G.

Well said that's why I didn't buy either motion or spirit due to the dev support that's why I bought a n7

Yes it sucks that it's locked, but for the price, it's worth it.

We have CM10, just no 4G. I know someone who has SMS working, not sure about MMS. Don't ask me who, you'll find out soon enough.

Do we really need an OC kernel??? I think it runs faster than your last cell phone ever would.

Did your last MetroPCS cell phone even have ICS at all? I didn't think so. The Connect just got CM10 booting, just booting, there's still a ton of other things that needs to be worked on before it could be used as a daily ROM for the Connect. We have a CM10 ROM with only 3 things not working currently: SMS/MMS/4G.
Soon only 2 things won't work: MMS/4G. That's enough for most people to use it as a daily, throttled 4G is slower than 3G anyways.

Edit: and even with the Connect having an unlocked bootloader, they are still way behind us with the CM10 ROM, so be grateful how far ahead we are.

Correction only 2 things that don't work for our connects cm10 is MMS and stable data and this ROM was just built and 5-7 weeks ago that's impressive deving while the motion has had cm10 out for almost 2 1/2 months tsk tsk

well the connect's cm10 is based of the spectrums, just had to get the display drivers added/edited into the kernel correctly, which stcarlos did for the lucid. ;)

The motion will always be an essential stock beast of a device for tight pockets; bad screen, locked bootloader and extreme lack of development interest (even though people have given their all)

The connect has reason for development. That does not mean the motion is a piece of junk. if all you are gonna do is bash on the motion, then go buy an iphone.

you get what you pay for and you know what? I'm happy with my motion. >3
 
isn't he the dude who was going homeless? i remember him posting a screenshot of his OC kernel i think it was 1.6k(not 100% sure), unless he's a troll and shopped the pic? or i'm the troll who can't remember >_>

requisite0 had been attempting kexec on the spirit and said things werent looking good and that 2nd init was worlds better to work with because kexec just wasnt gunna happen. i misinterpreted it.
 
PG, do you still need a device for dev on this? I don't mind making a contribution keep you on board with this one. It's a helluva lot better phone than the Indulge was.

You don't need to go on to much with explaining yourself. I've noticed this phone has some of the most stuck up ungreatful people ever and you wonder why you guys are still stuck in the wind
