Root [TOOL] AIO ROOT, UNROOT, and RECOVERY INSTALLER (GUI EDITION)

Off topic here, I've been calling the new HTC from Boost the One X lol It's the HTC One SV ;) I might be getting this phone. So I can get rid of my Clear Wireless & get 4G. I've never had a dual core phone either, so that might be nice. The sequent still lags quite a bit when running multiple things. Might go to my local dealer today & see if he's gotten this phone in yet :) Too bad they lowered the value of the Sequent. Would only get $50 trade in credit smh :what:

Last Q does the phone have to be in any mode?
*NM I just did it...
Looks like it to me that's TB or is there an official way to know?

I get the same message after using this on stock rooted b09. As long as you have the drivers installed, this will unroot your Sequent.

I did not have any issues after using it. I used the same AIO to reroot the Sequent..

Good work, junkie.

ok, so awesome android may be linked in some way to busybox, causing a crash, not sure. but regardless, as long as it seems to work, on stock, we are good. thanks guys

got bored, was tinkering with my cwm installer scripts anyway, so now we have an all in one tool to do everything
mind you the same rules apply
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I pulled the rooting and unrooting scripts directly from doomlord utilities so i take no credit for the scripts themselves and i do thank him for all his hard work
keep in mind he will not be held responsible either if you break your phone, its on you if something goes wrong
also...

INSTRUCTIONS:
works the exact same way as rooting or installing cwm through my auto installer
get zte drivers
get this zip file
unpack it somewhere, doesnt matter where
run the file associated with your OS, if youre running windows, run the file called windows, if youre running linux, run that file, mind you on linux and mac it will ask you if you want to run it in terminal, you will want to run it in terminal
the menu system will take care of the rest, and i removed the bug from the old auto installer script that caused stock recovery to be put back on, so its fully functional now

Junkie... U R the F-n Mann on this auto installer thing! :D. :thrasher::pcguru::beer::cheers::rock::shakehands::thrasher:

lol, thank you. its not all that much work really though, basically you take a plain text file, type in the same commands you would do in command prompt, then rename it a .bat and i do encourage anyone who wants to learn a little programming to look into basic batch commands, goto and if are great to know, you can pretty well automate anything you can do with dos/command prompt

i decided to update it a tiny bit again. switched from the beta copy of cwm to the official build from the clockworkmod rom manager. they both work but the official one might have added features or something, who knows, i figured it was better that way though. and i also adjusted the menu a tiny bit, made it easier to read by separating things better.
plus since i was in there i decided to try adding a new feature, it doesnt do what you might think, so i wouldnt recommend pressing the number 0 ;)
lol
just remember whatever happens is on you

I gave the scripts a try last night. I was rooted with stock rom b09.

I'm on a windows 7 system so I ran the windows.bat file while the Sequent was cabled to the computer. Everything worked fine. First I unrooted and as expected, all my aps requiring root would no longer work, ie Titanium Backup. I re-rooted and installed the stock recovery (FTM). That allowed me to use the ZTE Phone Update Tool to download and install the latest updates from ZTE. Then I used the script to install CWM Touch, restored my latest backup and got right back to where I was before I started testing. (Which was my hope)

Well done Junkie, all the scripts worked perfectly on my phone.

Junkie this tool is slick man it is so easy to use....i'm only having a problem with updating my software to the official b09 i tried going back to bo7 then installing stock recovery and then unrooting and i still get an error (status 7) fota/cache blah blah not found....Does anyone know how i could install the official update or what i am doing wrong? I would really appreciate it

well apparently your problem is blah blah is missing from your cache directory, maybe if i knew what exactly the error said i could help fix this

well, bored once again. so guess what, worked on a new version. itll have the same commands, just a much better layout. no more command prompt menus for me XD

its not finished yet, but heres a sneak peek

ok, new edition is basically the same as the last, just better looking with a point and click interface
scripts are modified to do as little in the command line as possible, there will be no prompts, itll just go to work on your phone as soon as you hit a button, so know that

thank you, i thought it was pretty neat myself when i figured out i could use html and css code to create a gui as if i was writing a web page. i already know html pretty well, and if you open the hta file in a text editor you will see it pretty well is pure html code, older style css, and i could even throw in javascript if i wanted though i had no need for that in this instance

but anyway, im updating it again to make things more aesthetically pleasing, instead of a flat grey the boxes will now be metal textured and a little lighter in color, the red warning text which was increasingly hard to see as the background got lighter was surrounded in a box with a flat black background, and i scaled the main background down to a third its original size because it was unnecessarily huge and took a second to load leaving the background white initially which annoyed the hell out of me

in other words, in about 10 minutes when this damned thing finally uploads it will be even sexier looking ;)
and who knows, maybe ill get bored again soon and start playing with it more

So i downloaded the new gui this morning around 11a.m. and it wont do nothing. i mean it goes through the motions, but nothing actually happens on the phone end. Should i re-download the zip now that you have tinkered more with it or just stick to the original non-gui, cause that works flawlessly.

i have no idea why it wouldnt be working... what were you actually using it for?

scratch that, i found the issue, fixing it now

k, should be fixed now. sorry bout that. now, back to learning how to use C++ to create a menu using the standard windows api instead of a ghetto ass web page formatted program

obviously its not done yet, as you can plainly see if you look at the code itself, almost all buttons are still linked to one function, rooting, figured i would share my next little project with you guys though

it uses standard windows executable format, which is the only reason im actually going through all the trouble to make it. the tool itself is completely unneccessary, i have already put out 2 different versions of the same exact thing this will do, but this is how i learn. i didnt know any c++ last night, now i made this and the thing actually launches the root script successfully, i also know how to hide it in the background now that way you dont even get the command prompt window, you will just see a prompt when it finishes successfully, i plan to make it do that then if it takes too long waiting for device or something it will time out and prompt you accordingly

sorry i didnt respond, i was busy. i was trying to go full stock unrooted, and all, then use the zte upgrade tool, but i couldnt get it to flash stock recovery. then i wanted to unroot and that didnt work either. i finally used the non-gui to unroot, but still coulnt get it to flash stock recovery, wond up restoring my cmw backup and when it asked to disable recovery flash i said no, then unrooted again, but then i was still on b09, i wanted to go to b07 and use the tool to get b09 again just to make sure i got the right update when i bought the phone. i know it sounds pointless, but look at the bright side, i tested the app for you. :-)

well, your problem with not being able to install stock recovery after unrooting is, you tried it after unrooting. the recovery installation process requires root. but yea its all good i figured it out, it works now, and ive got another new version in the works for the hell of it. so far ive managed to get everything but a good looking layout. the commands function as they should, ive hidden the command windows but implimented a timeout so that it wont just try to run in the background untill you restart the pc or manually kill cmd.exe

it has direct links to the all things root section here, the roms section on upp, the drivers for the phone, my adb checking guide

also it has 1 minute to install a recovery, 3 minutes to root or unroot. if within that time it doesnt succeed the program kills the process and gives off an error message
it hides the actual command prompt windows so all you ever see is that menu and the message box stating either success or failure due to timeout
i even threw in a donate button, just in case someone wanted to express their gratitude monetarily XD
i plan to make it look a little fancier and then package it with the necessary files before actual official release, but its fully functional as is

new C++ edition

eh, its as good as its gonna get. fully functional, but not the prettiest thing in the world
and it has alot of neat little features built into the help menu, check it out, tell me what you think
