Root Boost mobile one sv kernel development

Ok so I narrowed down the speaker problem, I guess it's the stock visual voicemail app. When I check my voicemail with it, my speaker doesn't work, even if I have it set to speaker phone. Afterwards the speaker doesn't work till I shut down the phone.
So not a problem with kernel, looking forward to future work you're gonna do on this phone. Thanks again for your efforts :)

Rebasing the kernel HTC finally released the boost mobile source.

This is dope news! So if you don't mind me asking Mr. Shinru, what can we expect from this, besides the fixes for the hiccups some people are reporting with your last kernel, that we all, are appreciating at the moment. ;)

I've found out that if you go to the phone app and call your voice mail and activate the speaker, after that, it goes back to normal again. No need to reboot the phone :)

another blast from the past! nice to see you here Guspeed! I'm really happy to see you and rally here from the prevail days. That little phone had the best development community by far. I hope this phone gets more love than the EVO Design. I was starving for roms and stuff on that phone, and the day before i ordered this one, that phone came back to life.
this one looks like its off to a good start!

Good to see you too my friend, so far so good on this one, shinru is putting a lot of dev time on this beast and also we have the xda guys working hard on this too.
Something big is just around the corner for the "one sv" :)

For what its worth...I got mine to go back to normal by going into the Music app & playing a song (or starting and then stopping playback--didn't listen to the whole song) through the built-in speaker...

the zip install doesnt seem to flash the kernel so extract the zip install the zip then reboot bootloader and fastboot flash the boot.img

I have a noobish question. does the new version contain busybox?
if not, where can i get it, and what would the steps be to get it installed?

This is unbelievable!! YOU ROCK SHINRU!

First want to Thank Shinru for all your work. Unfortunately i keep having issues with the kernels. Every one I've tried has had an issue. Weasel kernel I was having issues the wifi and people complaining of not being able to hear me when using speaker phone but I was able to hear them just fine. The latest Walrus kernel. I'm still having issues with the wifi. Haven't been able to test anything else yet. I've tried wiping everything with still no luck. Other then being rooted I am running stock kernel and rom on a boost model sv. Any suggestions?

No!

Please follow this thread for Cricket support: XDA

thanks for the link. im rooted already. shinru2004 can you please make your custom kernel for cricket. i read how you started with the cricket source. i would like to make changes to system thru android. and if possible the overclock. thanks shinru2004 for all your great work, hopefully you can help. cricket doesnt have too many developers and i would like to see cm10 on this phone soon.

Yeah, I can make one for cricket. Its just a matter of adding your devices specific files into the kernel source. I have been working on making my kernel work for both devices. Just need to choose your device model number and build away!

Hi there guys, i'm from germany with european non-lte version of HTC One SV codename k2_u and phone is S-Off.
With S-Off the write protection is gone and i can mod system files but a kernel for overclocking would also damn heavy cool.
Would be nice, if you could bring that also to that device version.
Edit:
I'm on Jelly Bean and my Quadrant score is 5632 without overclocking, stock frequency.

Hmm. I can confirm that WiFi is not working on my phone after booting latest kernel, Angry Walrus.

Hey Shinru or any one that can verify under settings>about>Software info>more>kernel version, which kernel No. is present? I have 3.0.21-g2186530-dirty Thnx.

EDIT: Flashed the zip w/modules only, on top of the newly flashed boot.img, and all is well. Have WiFi back! Thanks Shinru2004...!
