I didnt install the old fork, just the rom, gnow, and gapp.
it is more like a text render problem...
Thanks everyone for the feedback, I have not been able to track down the text rendering issue, I searched and found that it is an old CM9 bug, and the only solutions were to enable the hold back to kill app, in developers options. I know it had to be something I pulled in from CM9 but just not sure yet.Yeah, I'm getting that occasionally too.
BSyds, yeah I ended up doing that except I used online version-- should I use the off line version? I am getting a message to update but Play says it's not compatible with my phone. Anything worthwhile in the update? Anyway to install it?
matt832, you'll have to look at the Google Now for ICS page for the differences, but I'm pretty sure they are not planning on updating it as it was intended for JB.
I have seen this but haven't spent any time on the GPS yet. I know it kills a bunch of system processes like, I was using adb logcat to watch the stream as the nav app froze and the logs just stopped, then there was a notification from no-frills that the settings were not able to set cause of an unclean shutdown. That message only appears after a random reboot or you use an app that quick boots instead of a proper reboot. So I am thinking it is to do with the GPS either kernel or system related. So this is on the to do list but will take some time. Not sure if I'm the only one, I'm still noticing an issue with Google Maps/Navigation. They work fine, really good actually. But every time I restart my phone they no longer work at all. I get stuck on the loading screen until the phone eventually gives up, asking to close the unresponsive app.
I'm not sure if it's related, but I also tried to reconnect to wifi afterwards and my phone got stuck on stupid and froze up. Tried switching profiles or in/out of airplane mode, but only way to fix it was a reboot.
Right now my workaround is to just remember to delete/reinstall Maps after a reboot; it seems to work fine again.
The camera completely works for still pictures, just video is not working now. This new version with front camera working, if I take a photo with the rear camera with the standard camera app, it's a normal photo (not panoramic) right?
The first camera fix only did panoramic.
Auto focus works too correct?

) resonse, as I'm sure you already did this but... have you tried turning if off and on again?
