So i just got off the phone with VZW and I talked to a very helpful woman named Regina or Reshida (call was a little faint). I had to ask about my NE2 being in December of 2010 when I started my plan in September of 2008. What a helpful woman! She said that it should be in May of 2010 (with the four month buffer). I then explained to her how excited I was to order the Incredible and asked if there was any possible way to move my NE2 back to April 28. Not only did she do that she moved it back to today so that I can pre-order on the 19th!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing!!!! Verizon's call people are way, way better and much more helpful than the in-store people. I went down to the local VZ corporate store earlier this morning and used the Eris for 15 mins just to get my android fix for the weekend. No one helped me or even acknowledged my presence. Customer service over the phone is light-years ahead of my local corporate vzw. VZW should replace the workers in corporate stores with phones linked to call people!! They actually know to treat customers.
(Of course, that goes for my local VZ store) lol
She even asked where I was getting all my info about the Incredible so I naturally gave her the forum's URL!!
Off topic, but what will become of the Nexus One? Its rather obsolete at the moment and almost feels drowned out by the sound of the Incredible. That's Google's error I suppose, but I feel as though it can make its own little niche in Verizon. The "other" option if you're not too fond of the Incredible.
Well the Skype app that Verizon offers doesn't work over wifi and since you won't have a 3G signal Skype won't work... problem unresolved![]()
well damn... that's lame.![]()
Skype on cell phones makes far less sense than Skype for PC/land lines anyway...maybe I just haven't thought it through tho.

I have had the Corporate Discount (22%) for a bunch of years now.
Hell...when I started mine was 19%. I don't even work at the company anymore. But I ain't saying a thing. Whenever its renegotiated up...they raise me up.
What I have been told, although I can't confirm (I don't have any smart phone yet) is that the 22% is only on the Voice Plan. That the other stuff - data, text messaging, visual voicemail, are add-on's.
The discount only applies to the Voice Plan (which kind of sucks). The only thing I can confrim (I have a Razr right now) is my 22 percent is NOT taken off of my 10 dollar text messaging plan. Only my plan (900 min America's Choice for 59.99 - they have changed plans since I got it).
My total bill usually comes out to around 66 dollars or so when you do the math. 59.99-22%=46.80....plus 10 dollar messaging = 56.80...then we have all the frakkin taxes for another 10 dollars.
I'm debating whether to drop myself down to the 40 dollar plan (which would be 32 after the discount) before getting the phone. Because using the same math it would be 32+30 (for data) plus 10 for messaging and possibly 3 for visual voice mail (yes I know I can use google voice for both - I don't want to have to tell everyone a different number to message me on - and I'm debating the visual voice mail option because of notifications) makes it come out to 72 plus tax....bringing it to around 80.
Can anyone else confirm the corporate discount has 0 effect on the data plan? Are there any combo packages for corporate discount people that offer both?

Unfortunately, I can't watch this at work, so I don't no what it contains, but here is a link to ABC news video introducing the Incredible:

Want TV Out? Yea, we got that!
You want other stuff?? We probably have that too...stay tuned.
Discounts only apply to the main line. So if you have 15% discount and the main service plan is $100, you get $15 off your bill. No discounts on anything else (data plans, extra lines, etc).

I'll bet reviews are embargoed until next week, and that post was published early.
Did anyone grab the images before the post came down?
Yeah...that's what I thought. Its my only line and the 22 percent only drops the voice.
Any idea if there is a voice/data combo package (like they offer on blackberry's)?
Because then it would drop the whole thing.

on the eris, did you look at the battery thread and check your down time battery usage? when i first got my eris it would not make it past 8 hours....but after deleting a couple of things and changing some settings i could easily make it thru 36 hours.
It will be fine grasshopper....these are intense phones...it takes some juice to get them rolling![]()

Hey all! I am so pumped for Incredible. I am have been wtahcing these forums and every cel phone news atoulet wiaiting for some official information!!
I just got a Droid on 4/2, so I will be within the 30 day time period to get the Incredible. I plan on returning the Droid and signing up for the pre-order next week. Is there anyway to get out of the $35 re-stocking fee? I saw on the Official VZW Return Policy that you have to pay the $35 fee if you return your phone and within 3 days get another phone. I as hoping to return my Droid on 4/25 so when the Incredible comes out on 4/29 I can maybe avoid the fee.
Is this true? Does anyone have an experience in this area?
Thanks all!
