T-mobile cheaper?

I've noticed that T-mobile is cheaper than Metro for unlimited. Or am I mistaken?
I'm paying $205 per month for 4 lines. All unlimited. 3 at $50 and one at $55.
Should I jump over to T-mo?

Stay put I have two lines with metro unlimited all with international on both and insurance on my s3 my bill is $130 a month with tmobile same plan runs me about $170

Well are you putting in the payment plan? Also my plan has international calling that's an extra $20 a month for two lines buying the phone outright will save me $20 a month but still is not a bad deal the finance is interest free.

Both the Metro S3 and T Mobile's S3 were the same.

That's the only phone I know that is used by the 2 carriers. But from what I've seen of T mobile's phones is that it's usually the same as the unlocked version's price.

Feature phones might be a whole different story though so idk bout those.

Gotta add in the device payment per month as well.

After the phones are paid off, then yes that will be your total payment for the month.

which is what i was talking about, he was talking about 4 lines and tahts all there is to it, still need to buy phones which means monthly payments or a upfront buy which they tend to be more as gsm devices are more valuable.

Thought you were talking about outright price.

Dude I work with hopped on T mobile about 4 months ago and got the Note 2 through them. He asked for the pay off amount for the phone after he had made a couple of the $20 monthly payments and he said the cost was the same as the International and the T-Mobile branded outright price.

When I left Metro and was on the S3 kick, I was trying to find the best place to settle down. I knew nothing of T mobile's ways of doing things so that was interesting to find out. But when I was going to hop on one of their Value plans and pay the $50 a month, I found out that I had to pay the extra $20 a month for the S3. So I asked if I could just buy the phone outright and hop on the plan and they said sure. (Which would be the same as buying it outright and hopping on their sim card plans. Figured that out after words) They said my first payment I could just pay the entire phone's price and be done with it and my plan price would drop back to $50 a month. The pay off on the S3 was $550 which was the same as buying it outright and the same as the International.

Granted this was before things changed here recently with T mobile. I don't know if their phone prices have changed through their little monthly payment plans or whatever, but prior to that the phone price was the same across the board. Or so it was in the 2 instances I've seen first hand.
 
I think someone said before that only the first 2 lines have unlimited data, and data has to be purchased for any more lines. Call t-mobile to be sure.

I'm pretty sure all the lines have "unlimited" data, but have a throttle marker. This does have tethering built in though. If you want unthrottled data you have to add that on, but tethering is not included. So if you want unthrottled data with tethering, you need to add an extra package for a limited amount of tethering.
 
I've been paying pretty close attention to all the new TMo mess.

I'm sure this is just me.

They've said I think they're making it "simplier". I say they're high.

It's got more twists and turns and add this add that and this limit and horescrap. Be damned if it's very clear to me. :rolleyes:

It tends to make me think they're trying just a different set of smoke and mirrors than contracts to put the screws to you. It's distasteful. (To me)

Yeah. I did the math with 4 new phones, and it comes out to about $250 for 2 years and then it'll come down to $180. I was thinking about the Nexus 4, but damn expensive.
I also read somewhere that their unlimited it's throttled at 5gb's. And that would suck cause my daughter always gets close to that.

If you have the 70 dollar prepaid plan, or tack on the extra 20 dollar unlimited to her line, then it will not be throttled, (unless she manages to pull 1TB of data in a month(and if that's the case, you should check out her phone & internet usage)). The 30 dollar prepaid plan is the one that gets throttled at 5GB. The standard plan and the 50 dollar prepaid plan gets throttled at 500MB, and the standard plan + $10 add on or the 60 dollar prepaid plan gets throttled at 2.5GB.

even then, the "throttle" cuts you off from 4g speeds, tmobiles 3g speeds still beat out sprint/verizon/metro.

its not like you get cut off just slowed down, and for anyone using 5gigs a month.. perhaps they should slow down.

Actually I believe they cut it down to Edge speeds, so roughly 200kbs.
I have never passed 5gbs in a month, even when I had to tether the home network for 4 days while comcast fixed problems.:o
 
Just did some more reading and found this which kicks the cheaper part out.

"Regulatory Programs Fee of up to $1.61 per line/month applies. Taxes approximately 6
 
I'll bet you can take a stab in the dark as to What bodily orifice they can do What With their Regulatory Programs fee and their 6-28% taxes.
