***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I've been back and forth on this one. At first I heard it was just 480x800, but then someone in the wallpaper thread in the Incredible sub-forum (it's on the second page, I believe since there hasn't been a post on there in a few days) said that it would be 960x800. So...I'm not sure. I wish someone would officially confirm this for us so I can start making some sweet wallpapers.

Yeah...just found that thread thanks to DbagDbag..... but all the wallpapers look like they are for one screen....

And when you scroll from one screen to another...it does slightly move either to the left or the right.

A friend of mine has a nexus one....I can find out what his wallpaper size is...but that's only 3 screens.

farther down, we started putting the bigger sized ones in there

PLAIN BLACK or VERY SIMPLE SINGLE GRAPHIC ON BLACK BACKGROUND wallpaper FTW!!!

maybe slight bump in battery life since most screen pixels won't have to turn on, and it looks much cleaner!

Yep, that's one I'm thinking. I'm thinking minimalistic for wallpapers. Because, if you put an image on the wallpaper, it will be covered up by the Sense UI widgets (clock, weather, Friend Stream, etc.) I may just make one that is kinda carbon fiber looking, kinda like what the Evo has in it's press shots. Simple, clean and minimal.

Imagine your processor running constantly displaying a moving wallpaper on your phone. It may not sound like much, but every little bit eats away at your battery charge.

Reviews say it's only using processor when the screen is on and it doesn't effect battery that much ... But I'm with you ... It'll become a novelty and eat up battery.

I made that comment since it should be 960x800

Also people have should how much power the live wallpaper is Taking up from the Nexus one and at most times it's less than 5% of the battery life so it should be a non problem

It was once explained to me this way...." If you get the iphone, you're a geek......if you get the Incredible,.....you're a bad ass."....Enough said.

I agree, except I'd have to change it to "If you get the iPhone, you're a lemming...if you get the incredible, you're a geek." :p I'm a tech-geek and proud of it!

Nice, I have already contacted my buddy that paints cars and I asked him if he can paint the back panel for me. I am going to go for something like the stripe down the middle of the Ohio State football helmet, with a nice glossy finish coat.

O-H!!!

I-O! :D

Also if your converting a picture to that size, it would look at lot less distorted if you start from 1280x1024 or a similar aspect ratio

Great it says it has an 8GB microsd card preinstalled now there's going to be 3 pages asking about that
No, it says "8GB pre-installed". It does not say "8GB microsd card preinstalled". It also does not list an SD card in the package contents. You have to buy one.

So as of late I have been receiving letters from Verizon telling me that I can upgrade to a smartphone for discounted price if I signed a new 2yr contract. I got online and was chatting with an associate today at Verizon.com about if I would still be able to take advantage of that when the D.I. came out. Well of course he said he has no information on that. I asked if he was referring to my account or the phone and he was like the phone. I told him that I just wanted to know if I would be able to preorder when it came out at the price if I upgraded to the data package. He then proceeded to tell me they do not preorder phones. I had to even look up the email I received from them telling me preoders start online on the 19th. After I informed him that Verizon had sent me a letter telling me you do...he then was like you need to call this number then and they can assist you.

I am not upset with him. Just wish at some point they would let their actual employees know what they are doing. If they do...maybe tell them again. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Reminds me of my job.

That works for me. I took a panoramic shot of the "The Shoe" at Ohio State.

If anyone can't tell I am a collage football fan...hate the NFL!!:D:D

But anyway, I scaled it down from 78808 x 24400

to

2559 x 800
It will probably look like sh*t though because of the aspect ratio

actually on page 25 of the user guide it definately says to input a new micro sd card, first remove the preinstalled 8GB micro SD card, pretty sure thats what he's referring too.
