So as of late I have been receiving letters from Verizon telling me that I can upgrade to a smartphone for discounted price if I signed a new 2yr contract. I got online and was chatting with an associate today at Verizon.com about if I would still be able to take advantage of that when the D.I. came out. Well of course he said he has no information on that. I asked if he was referring to my account or the phone and he was like the phone. I told him that I just wanted to know if I would be able to preorder when it came out at the price if I upgraded to the data package. He then proceeded to tell me they do not preorder phones. I had to even look up the email I received from them telling me preoders start online on the 19th. After I informed him that Verizon had sent me a letter telling me you do...he then was like you need to call this number then and they can assist you.
I am not upset with him. Just wish at some point they would let their actual employees know what they are doing. If they do...maybe tell them again. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Reminds me of my job.
i wont be buying any cases or covers or anything, nor am I going to paint or change the phone in any way.
i like it exactly how it looks, as is
well Just In Case, i ordered another 8gb microsd.
i ordered a card too, i think theres still lots of debate about whether or not it will actually come with a card or not.....since the user guide was labeled as not being a final draft type of thing.
no, you're fine, but it's up to you
ughhhh this 8gb issue is getting old
where'd you guys order the cards from? want to make sure I get the appropriate one!
Does anyone know the but rate of the screen? 18 bit or 24 bit?
Also, no 8gb microSD per the Launch Package![]()
no kidding... that's pretty poor. get with the program! I'd feel like an idiot if I were that guy.
Considering this is an updated Nexus One (for the most part..don't flame me on that).....
And people are b*tching about the 2.1 gallery being a lower bit rate and modding there pics.....
I'll take it as a guess its 24.
Just a guess though
ughhhh this 8gb issue is getting old
Wow, you got lucky.
I just called 611 and talked with a nice woman named Belinda. My NE2 isn't due until August sometime. I asked about getting it moved up and she said that if it was within a month they could work something out, but August was too far away. I did double check with her that despite not completing my current 2 yr contract, that I could buy the DI at the 2 yr contract price ($200) - confirmed.
I think I'll go your route and see if I can't plead my case via email. After all, I've been non-problem customer of theirs since 2001 and I currently give them $160 of my money every monthfor a family share plan.
I agree with you...ntbeachnc is lucky.
I just called *611 and my NE2 is up 6/18/10 and was just told "only VZW STORES can bump up NE2 dates". Really? I think ntbeachnc would disagree. I even read her that post to no avail.
I will also try the email route. My gf is pre-ordering (dropping ATT) and I CANNOT let her have a 6 week jump on me!![]()
wow, when i called they said they couldn't update my verzion online to show the updated date. which means i can't preorder unless i want to pay full price. said all they could do is "notate" it in the notes for my account for when going into the store.
Nice, I have already contacted my buddy that paints cars and I asked him if he can paint the back panel for me. I am going to go for something like the stripe down the middle of the Ohio State football helmet, with a nice glossy finish coat.
O-H!!!
Incorrect. Per pg 25 of the Launch Package there is an 8gb micro sd included and preinstalled. It is probably not in the contents section since it is already installed in the phone. I hope this clears it up![]()
