Spoiling Iron Man seems easy:

Rich guy gets in a metal suit and fights bad guys

:D

Good morning and it's our second day of {semi} empty nest freedom! We've spent 3 days making our son's trailer habitable and up to livable standards from what it was. His 20-month IT course has been crunched down to 12 months - probably budget cuts or some garbage - and it's going to be an intense school. But he'll settle in nicely.

Maybe after today we'll be done with his trailer and we can actually enjoy ourselves, being all alone in this nice quiet house for the first time in decades!

:)

How's the wife dealing with becoming an empty nester, Chief?

So far she's been too busy with the trailer to boo-hoo, but I know that's coming. I have some wine tucked away for her, to lighten her mood. We'll do a lot of dinner out, some shopping ( yeah, you know it's serious when I go shopping with her) and whatever else we can come up with.

EXAMPLE: This Saturday is an all day railroad excursion on a 1950s passenger train out of Nashville to the Monterey Dogwood Festival. Should be a very nice time.

The plan is to keep her busy and occupied so she doesn't sit there and just cry.

We'll see if it works :o

Awh... that's sweet Chief. ♥ Empty Nest Syndrome is indeed not to be taken lightly. How do you feel about it?

Dogwoods bloom yet?

Brother in Missouri says they are a month late.

Mine didn't help app updates but overall speed has increased. People are saying the update to 4.2.2_r1 and any ROM that includes it reduced lag during app updates, but I haven't flashed anything like that yet.

Stigy,

Has that build.prop change still been working well for you?

Blah... just found out that a few hours ago someone who already HAS the job decided he wanted to transfer to the job I applied for.

... guess that means I keep doing what I'm already doing.

... bird in the hand... bird in the hand....

Bummer Kelmar. It just means you're meant to find something better...

Also, been MIA, so I missed out on saying I hope you will start feeling better soon.

Hey Chief, or anyone else using JBS, are you using the 5.2.2 experimental? How's it holding out for you? Any chatter on when the next stable will release? I want to download the experimental, but if they drop the stable later today or even tomorrow, then it can be a pain.

I have so many apps that updating is a pain in the rear. It takes forever.

Just got the biopsy results back. One was completely OK. The chest biopsy had issues but it was all confined to within the area they removed....

Best of both worlds... Didn't carve a chunk out of my chest for nothing (and not having to go digging again anytime soon) and not dying of cancer.

Kelmar: WOW! Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Any idea what changes they introduced in the 5.2.2 experimental?

Woohooo - I actually got to the theater early and got to choose my 3D glasses. I picked Tony Stark. And I got my pass on a lanyard allowing me to come and go. See you all later!

Awesome to hear Kelmar! Got to be a great feeling!

Have fun BB!

So have a lot planned for this weekend, but mother nature isn't wanting to cooperate. Fishing rodeo with my oldest but 70% chance of rain, and zoo with the whole family the next day, but still 40% chance :p hopefully that changes for the better!

Dogwoods are in full bloom here in Tennessee :)

5.2.2? About to flash it now... unless something catastrophic happened. I understand there is an option to replace the nav keys with ribbon functionality... sounds intriguing :)

Apparently ribbon functionality replaces the nav keys by giving you what you need, not the same things all the time. I don't know but I'll tell you when I flash it )

I tried PIE controls but didn't like them because I couldn't type any letters or numbers in the upper right corner of the keyboard without opening the PIE Controls instead. It was infuriating.
