Afternoon all.

Getting some interesting results or findings with my little one x experiment. But the bigger question is, will the results be repeatable.

I'm sure most of you dont really care since this is an S3 watering hole. :o

Hey, We do care. Especially since most people in this hole is don't even own a S3....

I was wondering earlier what your experiment is about ?

Some data....

Under a pretty typical work day. Consider the one x has a smaller battery. Its acting like my much bigger phone with a much larger battery...

I know, apples to oranges. Bigger phone needs bigger battery etc...

Some results from my experiment:

Some of you may know I have been having some issues with my Note II. My power button has started to act funny, taking a couple presses to get it to register sometimes. A program that usually chirped upon opening even if the volume was off, no longer does. Battery drain seems to be unusual. I noticed a random reboot. Not to mention the stacks of other problems I have had with the device and back to the Galaxy Nexus.

So, I pulled out the old One X, fully charged, running Venom. Bootloader unlocked but still has S-On. Pretty much the same way I got the note set up. SetCPU. A few lack of widgets on the thing, but not much.

Before leaving for work this morning, I powered off both devices, removed the sim card from the Note II, stuck it in the One X and expected the battery to be almost toast by lunch time 6 hours later.

I played on twitter via falcon pro as I would on the note
I downloaded currents over 4g
Made two phone calls, one about 5 minutes (I rarely make phone calls)
Sent text messages as I normally do
Hit up engadget via chrome as I normally do
Used tapatalk to visit and kind of keep up to speed on my sub'd thread here (this very one)

Pretty much everything I normally do with my note II.

I did not expect the thing to last all day. At first the battery drain was about 10% per hour, I suspected I would have just enough to make it through the day. Well, I had a bit more then expected, 22% when I made it home.

The one thing I did not do was attempt to use the device inside while on my breaks. Inside in most areas, the signal is a bit more harsh. So, this would be another test. Wifi is available in the place, though I need to sign in every time I walk away.

Another test was the phone calls. The people I called said I sounded much better on the one x then I do with the note II.

So, what does this prove? Really, not much to anyone else but myself, I suppose. I did note the one x has a battery of about half the size of the note II! And I burned up roughly 80% of its juice in contrast the note usually burns up about 70%!?

Yeah, the note is larger, has a larger screen, a hefty CPU and other stuff going for it. So perhaps it is a wash.

What has my experiment proved (to myself)? Not much yet. Though I was sold on the replaceable battery, but it may be as much of an issue as I previous thought.

Also, my Note II may need scrubbed again. I have cleared the caches and rebooted. Perhaps the rom or some widgets are going crazy. Not sure.

Back to your usual program, if you have not fallen asleep :)

We are having kittens tonight. No not for dinner. I'll be up all night.

Keep us posted, in words and pics please :D

Brought my moms six months old maine coon cat to the vet earlier this morning. He'll be a lil bit less manly of today.
