nope.
that elongation will make using the optical trackpad (joystick?) that much more enjoyable :)
as far as typing, u got 3.7in of screen real estate.

I think his concern , as mine, is that there is an uneven distance/stretch when in landscape for one hand/thumbs to reach the screen than the other.

When I've asked this before, some genius replied "all touch screen phone are like this, with the screen off to one side more than the other" HEY, not on my Storm.

Class 6 Samsung TransFlash Micro SDHC 16GB Memory Card - eBay (item 370366004554 end time May-15-10 22:39:48 PDT)

Can anyone attest to the legitimacy of this card? Also, this thing ships from South Korea for $0.80?? How long will it take to get it here? What's involved with shipping it back?

Does anyone think that elongated bottom on the HTC will result in an uncomfortable typing experience? It appears that the iphone is perfectly balanced.

Please disregard phone size.....

The proportions in regards to the capacitive buttons and joystick/trackball should be the same as the N1. If you have ever actually held one of those you realize that the bottom section of the phone where the trackball rest is quite small. Pictures don't do it justice.

i've played with a nexus one which probably has the same proportions, and it's easier to type on then an iphone with the htc keyboard installed. it looks like a big difference in the picture but in person it's very minimal. also if for some odd reason you have trouble download swype.

I love Swype, but also use the text-to-voice (Droid with 2.1). I wish there was a way to have the text-to-voice option when having the Swype keyboard displayed so I can use either without the extra step of changing from Android keyboard to Swype keyboard

i think there is in the beta version. that will be coming out soon too. right now you can't download the beta version any more if you go onto swypes website it says due to such a high demand you can no longer download the beta version of swype.

I know this has been discussed before, but just thought I'd add my .02. I just signed up for updates on pre-ordering the Incredible, and my welcome email states pre-order starts 4/18, not 4/19...might be worth checking out tomorrow!

Edit: Sorry, tried to post pic, not very good at it...I see that didn't work. Anyway, that's what my email said, 4/18.

If you ain't a Gator, you're GATOR BAIT! CHOMP CHOMP!

Offense is going to be fun to watch.. Defense I fear is going to be sliced and diced like in '07 *cringes*.. We'll see though.

:D

Weill either way,, looks like Ill be taking pics with 8mp of orange and blue goodness... from the side lines

it doesn't make a difference as long as you pre-order before the 26th nobody gets it until the 27th. i can't wait to pre-order though just like the final step and a lot off my chest. can't wait for 4/27

Okay,

So as far as I remember, the user manual we got last week specified that the incredible would have 802.11 (b/g/n), and the "n" made me get super excited.

Now, with all the press releases, and according to HTC's official site, the phone won't be supporting wireless n, only up to g speeds. Is this accurate, or will the phone really have wireless n? I really was looking forward to 802.11n, but will have to settle if it indeed isn't true. :(

I don't understand the disappointment over not having wirelessN.

802.11g supports bandwidth up to 54 Mbps - unless you have an internet connection with download speeds greater than 54 Mbps N has no real world significant advantage. And even if your connection is faster than 54 Mbps the phones speed would be restricted by the 1ghz processor.

Yeah, because John Brantley and his enormous amount of experience will show everyone how he is one of the BEST qbs in the SEC....right....
you've got to admit that your year is a little unstable right now...

go DAWGS sic'em

thanks for the tip,

I live most of my time away at college, which has a wireless N network, and figured the phone's wifi would've been a lot quicker. I know wireless G works fine, and it'll do and i probably won't really know the difference, it was just a thought, as I kept noticing different specs on different docs. I didn't know the phone's speed would be restricted, so thanks for that

the reason why i wanted wireless N is because from ive heard it uses alot less power to run, not sure how true that is though.

don't forget urban meyer has decided that it will be a good idea to use both QB's throughout the year, which has worked so well for so many college teams.....lol, and he's not talking about leak 90% of the time and tebow up the middle on 3rd and short. He's talking about using them in alternating series, one half for one, one half for the other.....can't wait to watch the florida offense struggle like there's no tomorrow! :)

Yeah, I think we were all ahead of the curve on that one!:)

i've struggled for a long time with this decision as it basically became larger screen, better camera and 7GB more onboard storage vs instant updates, slightly better call clarity. I can't seem to sway myself to the nexus one anymore....although its nice the rooting and roms are already out there for it with most bugs worked out.

I've decided not to wait for the EVO which i think is just too big, couple nicer features, but im ready NOW :) Hope I don't regret it!!

No problem. I bit the bullet on a dual band N router earlier this year and have noticed no improvements from my old G router:o Yes it offers the opportunity for increased speeds - but in the real world I am limited by my ISP performance and the power of processor of the device - unfortunately your only as strong as the weakest link in the equation.

Wireless N would have been cool - but at the end of the day I won't even notice the difference. Probably should have just kept my old G router:(

I'm not out of the loop of technology, nor am I constantly looking at this stuff. This is the first I've heard of A-Data, is this an economy brand or is it good?

Not sure of the brand but i have had good luck with New-egg. It is also rated well by people who have bought.
