Don't play with my emotions like that! My heart almost stopped when I read that the bootloader had been unlocked! My birthday is at the end of may, and I was gonna treat myself to a nexus4 (possibly the rumored upcoming 32gb one) since this phone's bootloader got me shackled. But once I read that it was unlocked, I was considering sticking with the motion. Good thing I didn't say it out loud cuz I might have been held to my word to save the $$. I check the forums almost every day for that shooting star, and to read a false alarm was spirit-crushing! Ok, that's a little dramatic, but c'mon man! I'll still prolly keep my hopes high until the end of this month, then I'm gonna have to make a decision. Eventually I'm gonna upgrade anyway cuz there are several features that I like about the n4, but if the bootloader gets unlocked for this baby, I might hold off till next year.

when we were working on fixing 4-22 with the 4gfix and lights the buildprop edit was the last thing we did. so i started thinking why wouldn't the buildprop work on 4-28 also, and sure enough it does and also on the 4-28 rom the sound issues and other minor issues are gone. at least on the apps i've tried so far. on 4-22 rom when i played candy crush the sound was all messed up but now on 4-28 with the edited buildprop the sound is fine and no crashes so far.
 
sweet my phone is even more awesome than it was.
so as far as i can tell all the apps that were acting screwy on 4-22 are fine now on 4-28 with the edited buildprop and no crashes
 
my battery life now seems to be incredible. i have yet to figure out why everybody is saying call volume is low, i can hear it at arms length.
 
Shouldn't there be a step in the flashing how to for the modest backup thing? Or is that not even needed anymore
 
all i changed in that buildprop was the fact that in 4-22 rom there was some dalvic entries that were left out of the 4-28 buildprop so i added them.

live wallpapers work. so you can use an app called "create your live wallpaper" it lets you choose an image as a wallpaper and lets you size it properly to fit screen unlike the stock chooser that has that box you expand but never quite expands as much as you need it too.

That's great news! I would donate myself but I just moved from FL to KS leaving my new car in driveway of my foreclosed home to be repo'd like the house lol. Got my PC back up though I will continue tinkering with the phone. I may have to replace it their is no 4g here and barely 3g.
 
flashing my modified buildprop to 4-28 rom fixes wallpaper selector crash and most if not all other crashes and reboots. still testing.

I mean what's different about the flashable build.prop and the one that came with 4/28??? What are the differences in the code?

lol oh yea just the dalvic heap entries that were in the 4-22 buildprop but were left out of the 4-28 buildprop. i just added them to the 4-28.
i compared the two and noticed those entries missing
