Ascension Day? Is that a Jesus thing?
Shall be working tomorrow. Making a carraway and rye bread today. First time with a large % of rye flour. Will be tricky but will turn out well. Making some banana bread as well. :)

I used to have my voicemail set up to say just text me. I won't call you back and please don't leave another voicemail. This was when I had a stable job however. So now its your usual blah blah blah.

Yeah dread, a jesus thingy between Easter and Pentecost ;)

Ever tried to bake muesli buns?
They are usually made with wholemeal and have raisins and nuts as a filling.

Hi all :D

Hi all :D

Never tried Muesli buns. Will have to give it a shot. Banana bread is just about done and rye is ready to get final shaped. Forgot just how quickly rye ferments. Doesn't take all day, thankfully!

My next project is trying to make a salt raised bread. Apparently it was very popular in colonial America and still made in parts of upstate New York and the Midwest. Sounds interesting. :)

Well, looks like the Kansas chase is off :(
The long drive there, the late (mid/late afternoon) storm initiation, the long drive back after the chase and work tomorrow means I would be pressed for time and it would cut into chasing time and could be distracting. So, A possible "backyard chase" may be the plan B today.

If I was off tomorrow, I probably would be on my way to Kansas right now. Dang job cutting into my extracurricular activities :(

Would you be driving along I70 there? Dear lord, I've traveled across the country but the western section of Kansas along 70 is perhaps the most boring. ;)

Even better than muesli buns: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stollen

Anyone know of a decent store to get generic photo frames?
I got one for a few 4x6's and it looks good from Target, but need one for 3 5x7's.
Does Bed Bath and Beyond have em? I know Ikea is great, but unless we really have to shlep out there, we try to avoid it.

Bed Bath & Beyond usually has some. Walmart is good too. And even some of the Dollar Tree stores have been known to carry them. Michaels & Joanns craft stores have them too - if you decide to go to one of them check for coupons first (or pm me and I'll see if I have any to send from my phone).

Thanks, BB! I'll hit up BBB this afternoon and see what they have. My wife is super picky on what goes on the walls. She really only likes straight white boxed frames (which I love too). Nothing too glitzy.

Good luck!! (I hope you have the 20% off coupons for there!)

Do you have a Hobby Lobby? or a Big Lots there? They are good also.. I also like Cost Plus World Market.
