So here are the POSSIBLE surprises, if any of these come true i will be extatic, one or two of them i know will for a fact =]
1) More RAM/ROM. This is one of those facts. I said this earlier on and it was confirmed by HTC themselves. No specific number yet however I was told equal or better than incredible.
2) Super AMOLED-type display. There is some speculation that Apple is in discussions with Samsung to use their Super AMOLED Tech. Over time, if not now, HTC will create a "screen type" better or comparable to SUper AMOLED. We have no idea as of right now what the Evo will ship with as Sprint's website does not comment on anything but "A 4.3" screen. Suspicious? YESSSS!!!!
3) Android version? It was shown and via Sprint.com and other that it will come with 2.1. However a dicument surfaced a few weeks ago saying that it would come with froyo as seen somewhere (sorry i forgot details). Naturlly i called Dan and he explained to me this was becaue 2.1 was not designed to work with 4G. This was later confirmed that week. Now 2.1 would work on the phone just not to the potential a version of android that was capable with 4G could. 2.5 is looking like a real possibility guys. I dont know this one for a fact but why have a ferrari only go 60 right?
4) APPS APPS APPS. This is another fact. NOOOO 4G apps have been shown yet!!!! They have been slightly talked about and/or other NON-4G versions have been shown. Many 4G apps will be included!!!
Hope this cleared some things up

My guess is the screen will be TFT. The guess is: the reason it doesn't specify what type of screen on the Sprint site is because, plain and simple, the average consumer doesn't know/care what type of screen it is, but DOES care about how big it is. So the 4.3 is the grabbing/selling point, not the type of screen. I'd obviously welcome a super amoled screen, but i highly doubt it comes to fruition.
But with that said, I've continually wondered what other surprises Hesse and Co. could be referring to when they said they "have a few other things up their sleeves" that we'll find out about soon. Android 2.5 would definitely be awesome, but i'm pessimistic that it could be ready to roll by late May/early June. Then again, I have no idea how long Froyo has been in development. Including an HDMI cable instead of headphones with every phone would definitely be helpful. Maybe a 16gig sd card included? 4G apps would make sense too since this would be exclusive to the EVO for now. A sub-$200 price would also be quite the trick-up-the-sleeve
