Root [Boost Mobile] [ OSIRIS ] Happy Valantines Day, Heres A Little Gift.. Sugar Kang ( Jellybean 4.1.2 )

it might, i made some other changes for serial number and stuff that i havent been able to test yet... but that all depends on serial no and usb .. so iam going for g_android (usb fix)

Awesome!!:D Need testers shoot me a link, you know the way;) Babe:p

I had to send my galaxy in for warranty work. so i fired up the old warp the only thing is that I'm still running one of the first shinjitsu roms on it. just wondering if the OP is current. Would love to be able to have jelly bean but I want rotation.

no, i do understand. but iam only 1 person.
find me a jellybean libcamera for OV5640 and we'll talk camera.
until then, its kind of a game of trial and error

I was totally just egging you.

I know... rude. I thought the winky made it obvious. Sorry lol.

its all good. iam quite frustrated with the camera indeed. nothing personal

I'm sure. It's probably pretty frustrating to work on outdated hardware too. I'm deving a rom, and I keep thinking about just forgetting about it because I might just get a new phone and the user base here is shrinking. But then I have put a bunch of work into it, so I don't want it to go to waste especially after all the stress of learning this stuff. I'm sure if I move to a new phone it will be a whole new bag of tricks though the tenets of what I learn should still be applicable.

Anyways... thanks for the work on JB/ICS, and a great kernel for our GB roms.

Whatever was the issue with CM7 exactly anyways (in a nutshell), and what really was the benefit to AOSP as opposed to all the custom stuff we have made? I just wonder because I have yet to see any rom control on CM7 or anything that is really different aside from just being able to say it was built from source or kanged and branded. I'm not one to really jump on a bandwagon because it's popular, but rather because there is a benefit. I even am somewhat skeptical of there being any benefit of moving over to b10g from b08c.

It has more support, and mods online are more universal. As far as I know at least. AOSP roms have themes on the market too, so those are a benefit too. And there's more control over power and the CPU as well. I gave my girlfriend my old Optimus V to use as a mini tablet (her mytouch broke, she's using an old flip phone now) so I can post screenies of what features it actually has.

Seems that almost every zte device that cm9/10 gets made the camera doesn't work. But i have faith that it can be done.

So... if i can find a jb/cm10 rom with working OV5640 camera do you just need the libcamera.so?
Or do you need libcamera_client.so & libcameraservice.so too?

Ok I found some Chinese phone that uses the ov5640 camera and has cm10 with working camera.
I downloaded the rom from it and ripped into it.
The thing has libcamera_client.so & libcameraservice.so but not libcamera.so.

what we need is the source... device name? prebuilts would likely result in no worky... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Oh ok.

I wonder if this rom had a working camera either anyways.

You would be right... the thing I found was translated and badly at that.

Look into the TF101... the back camera is the one the warp uses and they even have it working up to JB 4.2 (over on XDA)
