Iron Man 3

NYCHitman1

Gun for Hire
Plan on seeing the flick? If you've seen it already - what did you think?

Personally, I liked the movie a lot. Without giving much away, it was hilarious, but I could have done w/o some aspects and increased some others.

I do plan on seeing it...thought I might get to see it this weekend, but just didn't have time (hope to sometime this week maybe).

Love the series...they are a hoot!

:)

i did not like 2 as much as i liked the first one. but i'm curious to see this 3rd installment of the series.......gonna watch it tomorrow.

I did read in some reviews the comedic aspect was a bit over the top and almost distracting. I'm sure we'll get around to seeing it but don't know if it'll be in the theater.

I enjoyed the film in general but afterwards there are a couple of things that have grated on me the more I've thought about them.

1. What they did with Mandarin was stupid! Yes it was funny and yes they could still bring him back properly in some roundabout way later. But still it was stupid! Ben Kingsley's Mandarin persona was brilliant but the character as a whole could have been EPIC! His fights with Tony would have been EPIC! If they didn't want to go down the magic rings route I think marvel have recently shown the rings are actually alien technology in the comics so they could have used that route quite plausibly.

2. Stark wasn't in his armour enough for me.

3. Stark didn't go into space! :D

Discounting those things though I did enjoy the movie alot and it was a large improvement on number 2 :D

I saw it. I thought it was pretty good. I liked that Tony had more character development this time. The villain cutting through iron man suits like butter and Stark jumping from suit to suit was a bit ridiculous. Didn't they blow up his house in the last movie?

Anyone watched iron man 3? Would you mind giving some spoilers?

I finally saw it yesterday with my son...liked it, but it did feel a little different from the others--not bad different, just pacing/styling different.

No real spoilers re. the movie since you pretty-much know what you are getting when you go to see an Iron Man move ;) :), but I loved Ben Kingsly's role in the movie--he was awesome! :)

Haha thanks for that. I am thinking of asking my special someone out to watch iron man 3 when examinations are finally over :D

Was sorta a flashy disappointment for me. No interesting plot line whatsoever, just Stark's general antics all over again with a helluva lot of special FX..nice eye orgasm session though.

Wife and I went to see it on our mutual day off (kid was in school). Good movie. Not great. Personally liked IM 1 the best. Hoping Avengers 2 is going to have Downey in it. Don't think they need IM 4 but I'm sure he will be pressured and offered an insane amount of money to do it. Or they'll do a reboot next year :p

I went to watch the movie and I found it a bit plain. They should have added in more action rather than talking.

I'm not one to go out and see action movies in theaters, as I am more of a comedy person.. but this happened to be playing at the drive in last weekend as the 2nd movie and we decided to stay for it.
I was really impressed with it, but unsure if they left it open for more or not. The last line of the movie suggests there could be more, but it still is unclear to me.

The drive in costs $5 per person and there is always two movies pretty good deal.. but we didn't get home until 3am after the 2nd movie haha

really? i think action is the best movie to be seen on the big screen. you get the best sound and that large screen suits anything with special effects and cgi......comedies i can wait to watch it on my crappy flat screen tv at home......just saying.

i mean there is soooo much going on in I3 that it suits the big screen very well.

+1 for big screen action!

I also did think there were too many autonomous Iron Men at the end--I'd like it better if the story focused on a single Tony Stark / Iron Man, etc.

But I still really liked it :).
