Root 1080p HD Camcorder, Purple???

SidKarver

Lurker
I was trying to record a video, I decided to switch it to 1080p to see just how good it can look... Everything is purple. Yet in 720p it's normal. I'm not using any digital camera filters or anything.

Anyone know why this is? And how to correct it?

This happened to me when i restored my backup after i flashed bobz's cm10. To get rid of it i went into CWM and wiped cache and restored again(cant remember if i wiped dalvik cache as well), but i dont know how you got your purple 1080p camera so im not sure if anyone here could help you unless you tell them more details on how this happened

Yeah that's when it happened, when I made the mistake of flashing bobz CM10. Now I reverted to stock ROM but the problem still persists even after clearing cache. Ugh!

No I restored everything with Titanium Backup Pro after wiping. Also I just rebooted into recovery, re-wiped cache and dalvik cache again... It's still Purple (in 1080p.) My frustration is reaching the boiling point. I never should have flashed the bobz CM10 ROM. Stupid.. Stupid. How can permanent damage occur like this?

not a mistake or stupid. Stop insulting bob (or myself) and yourself as well. Use sammyz restore method and you should be golden then. ;)

It's not permanent damage, it's a bug and they are doing the best they can. If any ROM were to cause any permanent damage, it would be removed immediately.

Obviously this is not permanent. Unbrick and then reflash ROM If you want it working correctly.

By the way, after unbricking, if you're stuck in bootloop, just factory reset with key combo. If you don't know how to do that:
From powered off hold volume down + power until it asks if you want to factory reset.
