yeah i'm not sure on that one. i was going to wait and see what people are saying about it before i go see it.

oh yeah i almost forgot.....i do want to see the Hobbit as well. i'm curious as to how jackson kills off Smaug.

A lot of the scenes in RIPD look like they were shot in Boston MA. I really like Boston movies. The only disappointment was Zookeeper while mostly shot in Boston at the Franklin Park Zoo they made the story about New York City. :hmmmm2:

I hardly ever go to the movies but I make an exception for Boston based flicks.

Planes is going to be much higher. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the #1 animated movie of the summer. Maybe I'm just biased though.

The trailer for the latest Fast and Furious looks decent.
the scene in the trailer where they bring down that huge plane with three cars looked ridiculous.......so i have my doubts about the movie.....never was a fan of the series except for the first one.

really? i really would like to see despicable me 2. i loved the first one and very curious about this one.

I saw the trailer for the Lone Ranger. Johnny Depp is a great actor but his Tonto looks/acts too much like Capt. Jack :D

yeah i agree....and it is made by the same peeps as the pirates movies as well.....that is why i am holding out(i might end up seeing it anyways....lol) til later.

my question is why they are doing another superman movie? i mean they are starting over again from the beginning. why do this? how many times do we have to see how superman becomes superman? why not just move on? i thought the last one was pretty good. why not go with that and have another story starting from there?

i guess you can tell i'm not to thrilled to see it....lol

Superman doesn't become superman. Superman becomes clark kent! Gees people, you're killin me!

I guess Christopher Nolan wanted to do a "modern" Superman with no ties to the 70s/80s series. I was fine w/the actor in the most recent Superman but they went with someone else. Superman, Hulk, and even Spiderman rebooted within 3-7 (or so) years. Talk about short term memory.

I'm going to wait until the hype dies down or see it in a $5 matinee :D

Because Superman Returns tanked big time. Hollywood finds it easier to start from scratch every time a movie does poorly, or a director/actor leave, than to pick up the pieces and try to make something of it.

Nolan didn't sign on as producer until it was already in production. I'm guessing this was Zach Snyder or the studio's call. From the looks of the trailer (the Man of Steel cliff notes), they are attempt to humanize him more in this one.

Where do you live that they have $5 matinee?

I saw Star Trek this evening, and oh my inner Trekkie was in overload!!! :D

Really good movie!

If you haven't seen the original movies in a while, go watch them first. Trust me. ;)

Also saw Oblivion a few weeks ago, another really good movie. Worth every cent to go and see. :)

yeah i forgot to put down oblivion....i saw it a few weeks ago and it was an amazing film despite tom cruise....LOL

i think i'm gonna see star trek tomorrow

ok so i have seen oblivion, iron man 3, star trek, and FF6. and hands down star trek is the best so far....though i did really like oblivion as well. but nothing comes close to star trek just yet.

How was ff6?

Considering going to see it soon.

well i think the trailer did not do the movie justice. i actually thought that it was not bad. definitely better then some of the earlier films in the series. i think most people will enjoy it if they are not to critical of the movie and just enjoy it. there is plenty of eye candy to keep your mind from analyzing it too much. i went in to the movie not really wanting to watch it, but came out impressed....i mean fast cars, gorgeous ladies, and tons of explosions what more can you ask for?

Nice :)

I've always enjoyed all of the ff movies, particularly ff2. That's one I could watch over and over :)

I do believe I'll be making a trip this weekend to check it out.
