Root Boost mobile one sv kernel development

Hey all.

Ok, I got a little time today, so I'm trying different things.
I have a "unbranded" One SV LTE (K2_UL) that runs the latest JB update (2.14.4016).

Qs:
- Can I try this kernel ? Does it work with unbranded HTC phones or just with US boost, cricket or whatever other provider ?
- Any new improvement planned in the near future since a way to S-OFF has been found ? Any roms ?

Thanks a lot, again !

This?

I think we all really know what he means !!!

And to answer your question, no you cant use these kernels on your phone, they are for boost mobile only, however the dev is working on one for the K2_UL.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I'll be patient.

Thank you as well for translating, since it might not be clear enough that "this kernel" refers to the (latest version of the) kernel we are talking about it this topic, judging from the topic name.

Thanks to good people at xda, we know have cwm flashable stock roms for K2U and K2UL on ICS and JB we can play with (deleting bloatware, modding stuff, etc). Since you can only go S-OFF when on ICS and that I updates to JB before that, it's the only way I have to remove system apps, but it works.
I don't know if anyone's interested to do the same with a boost K2something / One SV, but tell me if you are.

I didn't write "this?" Cause I didn't know what he meant, I wrote it cause I was also wondering the same thing... I should've used "+1" instead, sorry for the poor forum etiquette... Lol

Hello can i use this kernel with my cricket one sv? If not can you modify a kernel for us cricket users?? I would love to have my chip clocked at 1.5 default. I have s-off with cwm recovery, root as well as the write protection is automatically removed with s-off. Any possible kernel for cricket would be nice. Especially if we have to wait for some Jellybean from update or development to happen. Thanks in advance swes.

Sorry I should have read all posts above and.searched better.... Been in computer land all day!! Can't wait for progress on cricket kernel and rom development...

I'm currently working on building a kernel to remove write protection from the system partition. Will post something soon.

I fixed the source code, we now have a working kernel source for this device!! i also remove write protection from the system partition. Will post a zip after i do some testing

I am a rookie but i need help...Please dont be mad. I bought a HTC One SV for boostmobile but all i get is the Logo screen with the RED developer sign.. I guess that the former guy erased the Recovery and everything how do i fix? I can get into the Hboot session.. will donate if needed.. Thanks

Sounds to me like you still have the stock recovery on the phone, once in the HBOOT screen select recovery from the menu then press the power button to select it, when you see the red triangle, press and hold the volume up button then the power button, and the phone should enter recovery.

Anything I can help do for the development of a cricket kernel as well as some more tools/roms I would love to test anything. I have attached a screenshot of my bootloader with some information. Thanks in advance and looking forward to the development of this phone..

sorry there hasn't been much development on this device from me. guess that's the life of a developer, been really busy with lots of other things. work takes up a lot of my time, but i don't mind it much. I might have some free time this week to squeeze in a little development work.

Take your time Shin, no rush. Live your life.

not really the first two have a lower OverClock then Angry Walrus. Angry walrus has memory compaction and swap enabled and the first two don't. when it comes to kernels they may all look the same on the outside but, that doesn't mean they are on the inside.

I want to say thank you to Shinra for all the work you are doing. I may be doing something wrong but the Im still not getting working wifi with latest kernal . please help. going back to gentle breeze again.

So each has their own specialties then?

Ok, got it. Flashing in recovery was failing and avoiding, had to copy and Merge folders in root browser. This is so cool. Thank you. Shinra.

Ok so I have flashed the kernel in fastboot and also flashed the modules in the recoverytest.img and my wifi is still not working. Also have fixed permissions. I have seen others having success just wondering what i need to do. Thanks in advance.

Trying to figure the all out. So I flashed the angry walrus boot.img in fastboot. it boots up clock speed is at 1.7 but there is no wifi. reboot the phone and wifi is back but clock speed is back to stock. Does this mean the kernel is not sticking? do I need to also flash moduals in recover?

I was flashing sicklekernal over angry walrus to give it a try. My phone doesnt like sickle, so i flashed Angry Walrus back. all is good xcept that my settings in SetCPU wont stick. i have it set to 1728, and set on boot is checked, but everytime i reboot or close setcpu. it goes back down to 1134 max speed.
any help is greatly appreciated.

The kernel overrides that setting. I have boot speeds set to that. It's not good to have it boot at 1.7 GHz I will make a kernel for those who want the save on boot option.
