All of this LTE stuff and frequencies and model numbers has my head spinnin lol. What no love for HSPA+? People are posting speed test results with 1.5-6mbs on Metro (some people are getting highger speeds I know) while people are getting download speeds over 20mbs on TMobile HSPA+42. Yeah LTE is the next big thing and is capable of becoming much faster than HSPA+ but for now the speeds are pretty competitive and it's less of a drain on your battery.

With the new radios not much of a difference in battery life. Some people on Tmo LTE have been hitting right under 60mbps

Very few cities are going to get Ethyl HSPA.

Us 1-6 Mps Metroers are just wantin' a little more Tiger in our tanks. :D

It's innaressin times. Will all see at least some improvement or will some see a loss? WTFK?

I have 146 no issue Fleabay transactions, all but one my buys.

Probably 95% of the stuff I get there would cost me more to replace elsewhere.

The system has worked pretty well for me. :smokingsomb:

Last year I saw an article that listed over 160 markets that have +42 so it's a little more than a few;). True living 2 miles from NYC means I have access to the best of the mobile networks (well except for Sprint who likes trollin big cities by not bringing them LTE and not including Wimax on their new phones. Really, a GS4 on Sprint 3G?) I'm hoping everyone sees improvements in their speed and the LTE rollout comes swiftly for all.:D

so does this mean a device running theses bands will work on t-mobile? i.e T-metro?
GSM:
850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
UMTS:
850, 1900, 2100 MHz
LTE:
700 MHz Class 17, 1700/2100 MHz

and by work I mean lte and hspa+

You will get everything HSPA & LTE but you will only get HSPA in PCS1900MHz refarmed areas

Most are being cut back to +21

True, and I said that LTE is the future and can and will be faster than HSPA+. I'm sorry if I didn't state it clearer. But my point is that HSPA+ is currently faster than Metro in most areas now. If I offended anybody I'm sorry. I seem to have hit a nerve. You have every right to want the fastest service available. My point is that TMo's HSPA+ is faster than the vast majority of Metro LTE is right now. In other words people are discriminating against HSPA+ when they currently have much slower speeds. That's all I'm saying.

Never mind I give up....HSPA+ is absolutely useless and the current speeds on Metro LTE are much, much faster and will be deployed to all markets ASAP. I'm sorry I ever even mentioned HSPA.

I beg to differ. I am on tmo n have been with metro b4 n my wife is still on metro. Unlessvyou are dl'ing files you wont notice the diff in speeds between hspa+ n metros lte in most areas. Now if you live in a metro area (big city), then the lte might be faster. ;)

I agree with pg I've seen some scary hspa speeds from friend's speed test ranging from 15mbps to 25mbps I think the fastest I've seen metro speeds at were 14 I've heard of someone clocking at 17 but didn't see no proof. But regardless it's all being throttled. Now that we have merged with T-Mo I'm looking forward to seeing more speed and coverage and new selection of phones. Best part this new byod plan just boosted the possibilities. Was looking at a note two from T-Mo unlocked for $549 $100 less than the Google edition gs4 very very very tempting. Shabby tells me to wait till the note 3 and I say ouch that's gonna be Atleast $850 no contact. But after 4-5 months it will be down to $500-$600 regardless you guys wanted top quality phones on metro here's ya chance just make sure it's unlocked and it's for T-Mo I'm sure at&t unlocked phone would work alright but after reading about all these bands just to be on the safe side make sure it's T-Mo.

or wait till the Note 3 comes and and then the Note 2 will be cheaper :D

i just found the Note2 on craiglist or $250 unlocked the ad says good condition...i would get it but idk if to wat for the Metro announcement of BYOD

I've said it before. Unless my Spirit had to be replaced for some reason, there is No Way I'd be spending largeish coin on a new phone Right Now.

I don't think there's a soul on this forum who Really Knows how the networks/speeds are going to pan out for specific areas when the merger dust settles. You may have better tomorrow than today you may have worse.

Once and until I have a good idea the switches have mostly been thrown *and I've used both networks side by side in my area* and can see with my Own eyes who's gettin' whut, I ain't buyin' nothin'.
