Root [DISCONTINUED] MegaTron 6.2.5

So has anyone found a way to update the play store cuz I pasted the play store apk and rebooted like what homegilla said but it did not work?
 
I know the older version of ctmod had the problem but I don't remember how to fix it. Maybe you can ask blood how he fixed it
 
I don't seem to be able to pick any new wallpaper. When I try to long press the screen and the wallpaper option comes up, it only gives me the option of live Wallpaper or using the file manager to look for it. Shouldn't there be an option to select from the Android default wallpapers?

Maybe I'm missing something. I have the dandelion seeds and was trying to change it.

I removed the wallpapers apps. Will add a removed apps zip tomorrow.

That's odd. I have ADW (free version) does the wallpaper option only come with the EX version? That might be the incentive I need to upgrade :):thumbup:
 
I want to try your themes. How do I go about doing this? I went to theme section but it shows you how to make themes. I would like to try both of the themes you have on here so that I may decide which one to use. Please help:confused:

The themes are zips in the OP which you download and install by flashing from CWM.

I just re flashed the Megatron ROM again and have been looking at the MIUI theme. I think I may like it, but still need to get used to it. I do like the smaller (thinner) status bar on top and having the top line free when I pull down the notification shade.

I was just wondering if there was any way to configure the toggles portion of the shade like you can with the other theme. Like remove ones that I won't be using and possibly move them around. It's not really important, but I was just wondering.

you can move them around with the dcsms app, just open it slide to the right and tap on powerwidgets you can move them around but cant really choose which ones are allowed in the statusbar. there are a minium of 12, 13, or 14 widgets that will always be displayed in the statusbar. i forgot the exact amount but the amount that is allowed in the statusbar can easily be removed by the dcsms in the widgets section by bring down the widget from the top of the list to the bottom but be aware that another widget will take its place since theres an exact amounted needed for the widgets to work. You can substitute one of your favorite apps instead of having a widget you dont want in the toogles such as screenshot since that widget doesnt work anyway lol.
 
Info ON this Update:


Ok so right after i released the OTA i said i would talk about some things in this new 6.2.1 update. For one most of you are probably wondering why did i decide to call "6.2.0" "6.2.1". I have retired that number "6.2.0 for MegaTron across all the phones that has it support even if its till on version 6.1.1. From now on phones like the Transform ultra that is currently still on MegaTron version 6.1.1 next update number will be 6.2.1 and not 6.2.0 because as i said before i retired it as the buggiest version of MegaTron in its 1 and half year history. Am i the only one that finds irony in that when i didn't have the phone before it was not buggy at all and as soon as i get the phone bugs start flying everywhere? :D:D. Anyway other news relating to the ROM is that your probably wondering where are the addons zip such as the choice to pick statusbar position whether its is centered or stock right. I will release those once i get free time which should be sometime next week. Hope you all are enjoying 6.2.1 and the future versions of MegaTron.

P.s i hope you all enabled the anonymous Statistic when you guys were prompted to after installing the ROM, it sends non personal data to my server where i can keep track of how many people are running megatron such as the number of users on each carriers and how many people are running what versions. It's not required that you do but its certainly helps me and mav out to see where megatron stands with the amount of devices running it.

Fixed market not updating to the Playstore and also fixed the problem where youtube wont play videos. Just testing for more bugs, an update to 6.2.2 should be out tomorrow.
 
Way to stay on top of things Chev. I'm sure I speak for the many people running MegaTron when I say thank you for your continued devotion to the development of this amazing ROM.

I'm looking forward to the update. :D
 
Another problem is the DSP manager it doesn't sound the same like the one on CT Mod just wanted to address that out
 
Okay I flashed Megatron and I got it to work. I love it it works great. But every time I turn my screen off or turn the phone off and reboot it it locks up or something. When I rebooted it starts to come on the Megatron local shows up then it cuts off in the lg comes back on and then it restarts and goes to the setup wizard all over again and when the screen goes off I have to take the battery out to reboot it. Otherwise the rom works great but I just can't let my screen go off.,..lol....

THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME! :thumbup: I love being able to have apps or widgets that I get to define on that section of the notification shade! Thank you so much for letting me know that was a possibility. That far exceeds my expectations and makes me love this ROM so much more. :D

Great work, and now I have to control myself and not play with the toogles the rest of the day here at work!
 
I thought we had the option to pick if its clock right or center? I clicked the link on the first page and had 404 error page lol

So apparently megatron hates the android forums app and subway surfers because when I try and download them, my phone hard boots lol anyone else has this problem?

Lol I dunno about the android forum app itself because I use xparent tapatalk, but yeah about the subway surfer game had some issues like that in the past lol
 
I have been working with Megatron and just cannot get it to run stable on my Marquee. I certainly think it has alot to offer. So that is why I am running CTMOD. I have nothing against Megatron and for those that have it working and stable that's awesome.

both are amazing roms and megatron well idk it still has some things that need to be taken care of like the dsp manager still needs some sound improvement, market not updating issue, and well now my hard boot problem with subway surfers and the android forums app, so just as long as we keep reporting bugs to let chev know, he can address the issues when its possible cuz I honestly feel bad for being the only one repeatedly reporting bugs so I think I'm going to stop reporting bugs I think he's had enough of me lol I hope the rest of you guys can do my job then lol
