Root [DISCONTINUED] MegaTron 6.2.5

Also...I seem to be missing the accounts and sync setting. Is anyone else having this problem?

Edit: You know, like maybe 2-3 posts back? fwiw I also re-flashed and still don't have the accts/sync setting.
 
Today I was trying to bluetooth sync to my car stereo and it wouldn't connect. Even reset my stereo to factory to delete any old files that may cause problems. Anyways, When it would try to sync the stereo would time-out and say "failed", long after that the phone would finally ask if I wanted to pair to the stereo (sometimes after I turned BT off, even). Anyone else having BT problems?

OK, that BT prob I had was with 6.2.? so I thought I should update to 6.2.3. I tried the OTA on the phone and it downloaded, but when the phone booted to recovery it stopped the install saying "E: Verification failed". Tried to do it manually in the same boot of recovery, same fail. Then I booted to recovery manually and install manually it updated to 6.2.3 just fine.

Just tried to sync BT Again with 6.2.3 but still the same results. Something else I noticed about BT, when I turn it off and then turn on again, it will say "turning on..." for about 30secs, but then not turn on. After that when I try again it turns on immediately.
 
Great update on the ROM just updated to 6.2.3 and everything is working great, i was just wondering about the toggles if we could decrease the number of toggles shown? and was there ever a auto sync toggle on the MIUI theme? because i was using touchwiz and there was one that was my only concern but other than that fast and smooth no bugs whatsoever :)

6.2.4 fixes that, wait for the OTA

you can move them around with the dcsms app, just open it slide to the right and tap on powerwidgets you can move them around but cant really choose which ones are allowed in the statusbar. there are a minium of 12, 13, or 14 widgets that will always be displayed in the statusbar. i forgot the exact amount but the amount that is allowed in the statusbar can easily be removed by the dcsms in the widgets section by bring down the widget from the top of the list to the bottom but be aware that another widget will take its place since theres an exact amounted needed for the widgets to work. You can substitute one of your favorite apps instead of having a widget you dont want in the toogles such as screenshot since that widget doesnt work anyway lol.

More bug fixes come in this update for bluetooth as well as the accounts and sync settings. Theses bugs cant hold MegaTron down;)

Your hard at work with this man good job :D hopefully all our bugs will be solved and you can get some rest because I feel like your overworking yourself lol, alright well time to flash this bad boy!!!!
 
OK, so more on my bluetooth deal...

I clean installed CTMod 3.80 and had the same problems although I did get it to sync once, but then lost sync when I disconnected. Also, I had Apollo installed as my lone music player for MT and CTMod3.80 in case that helps. Anyways, I'm restoring a CTMod 3.68 to see if it still syncs...

...OK, BT synced just fine with CTMod3.68. Wondering if I can just lift BT related apks from CTMod3.68 and slap them onto MT?.?

As you probably guessed, pasting over BT.apks from CT3.68 didn't help. I read a post by Bloodawn saying that things get screwy once you remove the default music player. Pretty lame IMO. Anyways, thanks for this ROM and it's fast support. I'm really torn between this and CT now. I'll have to work out a custody agreement...

Cool. Even though I don't use bluetooth, and I generally tend to leave my syncing to manual, I'll just have to see what this new version is like! You're very quick with updates, I must say.

Looking forward to seeing the new animation, though!
 
Ota update gave me an error, so I'm downloading it now from the OP.

EDIT: Lol. I figured out what the problem is. I tried downloading it and was informed "not enough space" to download it. Since I've downloaded the last 3 updates, as well as doing a nandroid backup so I can quickly restore my data, I used up all the extra space on my SDcard!

Backing it up off the card now and will try again shortly.

Thanks, Chev, for this ROM. I like it. I've been on CTMod for about a month, and I like it too, but I started having the voice search app FC all the time. I was actually coming in to re-flash CT, but thought I'd give this a shot for something different since I was going in anyway.
Only had it since yesterday, but so far, so good.
Much appreciated.
 
EDIT: OTA gave me the error too, verification failed, install aborted. I just used CWM toggle verification, then selected zip from SD and hit it manually and it went fine.

EDIT 2: sorry for double post.
 
I'm still trying to get used to the swipe to clear notifications. I had gotten used to how it works on CTMod, but this seems a bit more picky, and more often than not it will think I am tapping the notification instead of swiping it. A little frustrating, but hopefully I can get used to it.

Is there any special tricks to it, or just keep trying until I get it to work?

Yup, this is the only way to install the OTA update. You have to manually do it. Just go to where the update is on the sd card and select it. ;)

Still have not found a way to get past the status bar force close. Really irritating. I prefer the MIUI theme and that seems to be a huge problem at least for me. As soon as I flash the theme it happens no matter what I do. Yeah starting to agree with svz235 Megatron hates me. Maybe I should unleash Optimus Prime on him lol.

Bummer. I wonder what's going on with that. I love the MIUI theme and customizing the toogles to include certain apps that I want on there.

Sorry, I have no advice. It works fine on my phone.
 
Hmm I just noticed but did the play store get downgraded on 6.2.4? It was the latest on the 6.2.3. I've already rebooted more than twice and I have internet...

It downgraded because the OTA wiped your data, as soon as you sync up your account and open the market and accept the terms close it and it should update fine.

Actually I accepted the terms and conditions and synced my account a few hours ago, and was still stuck that way, I just remembered that I had a custom black play store on my memory card and that's what I used, thanks a lot for the hard work on this ROM!

getting screen problems. trying to type on the keyboard makes it go crazy hitting buttons all over the keyboard. anyone else getting these errors? also the wifi tether fc the android.phone process.
