Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Yup - started buying them last year after I surprised the fiancee with one from her favorite band.

We have almost 70+ vinyls now - it's quite the addiction.

Cool.

I have an old Aiwa cd/cassette stereo and was wondering if I could hook up a turntable to it? I don't want to purchase a receiver and speakers at the moment. Would you happen to know if it is possible?

Depends on the turntable and what inputs the stereo has in the back.

Mine is linked below - it was RCA outputs so mine is hooked directly to my Vizio soundbar with no receiver in the middle. Some even have built-in speakers.

Amazon.com: Audio Technica AT-LP60 Fully Automatic Belt Driven Turntable: Musical Instruments

That is exactly the turntable I've been looking at! :D
I can't believe how much its gone up in price though.

I bought it last year in August for $77 and now its almost $130 - that's so crazy.

I'd look elsewhere (besides Amazon for it).

Yep. I've found it, at times, from $80 to $130 on different sites.

First vinyl I'm getting is Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill

:wavey: Hi!! After a very busy weekend and beginning of the week I am finally caught up here! Woke up to an extremely hot phone in a boot loop today. Something went terribly wrong and it took a complete wipe to get it back again. So most of my morning was spent setting everything up again.

Double Shot today:

Happy Belated guys!!

Morning y'all!

Is it a new Samsung Facebook "ET" Phone Home?

*shudders* At 35 ET still creeps me out, I do not find him cute AT ALL!!!

Glad to see you BB!

I'm going to be on the road a bit this weekend, heading to Greenville, SC to hang with my brother tomorrow and Saturday, and Sunday promises to be very busy as well, as the weekly lawn maintenance season is here. :p

Question for those that keep up with phone rumors more than I do nowadays...Is the HTC One on Verizon basically the same as the AT&T variant? Also, this new Butterfly S, is it heading to the US or strictly an overseas version?

I really like the One, but like the battery in the Butterfly S. You can't tell me they couldn't put the same battery in the One as the Butterfly S when it's only a tad bigger due to the screen. If they had the One with the Butterfly S battery and the metal unibody frame, that would be the ultimate phone for me. I'm getting tired of the flashing ROMs for upgrades, waiting on bug fixes, etc. Really REALLY getting tired of AOSP lacking functionality in the bluetooth arena.

I am not 100% sure on phone rumors but I do need to do some research.

But I agree with you - I just want a phone that works. What I plan to do next weekend is flash a stock ROM (pretty much vanilla AOSP) and then using the Xposed framework add only the pieces I want to add and just have a nice subtle modded ROM that hopefully is quick and doesn't bog down my Nexus anymore.

I swear I am tethered to the charger when I am not on Wifi and I am sick of it.

Well the HTC One is a single phone for all carriers... So I imagine it will be the one that the other carriers have. The DNA 2 would be a good candidate for the HTC Butterfly S, but I don't think Verizon will carry both at the same time...

Same here man. I hate being tethered to my charger. Even on wifi it doesn't last long. I'm sure a new battery would do wonders for mine, but I can't justify spending anything on it at this point. I actually submitted a network trouble ticket to Verizon today complaining of poor service in my home, at work, and at my parents' house (which I visit fairly often) hoping they would allow me out of my ETF. I know it's a longshot, but I really want out of my Verizon contract to get back to AT&T. I know they at least have service at my parents' and a little better coverage here. I also don't remember a problem with their coverage at my house when I had them either.

Wonder if the Butterfly S could be imported and work on AT&T?

I've noticed a big difference after using the app Greenify. The only thing that still kills battery FAST is my addiction to candy crush.

Hey all, thanks for the birthday wishes! Much appreciated. :) Sorry I haven't been able to show my face in here much recently, life has been super busy! Hope you all are doing well.

I've seen a bit of difference in Battery Life, but nothing crazy using Greenify. Just glad that Facebook can't run in the background now.

I'm really thinking the Ativ Q could replace my aging laptop. Anyone else a fan?
I'm hoping they can get the price right though, but doubtful it'll be much below $1k.

I think even 1k would be tough. Due to the different hardware, I believe these devices need practically two complete sets, which is obviously really expensive. The ASUS Transformer AIO, while large, is a perfect example of this. I have to say that I am interested to see what the Ativ Q, and ASUS' upcoming Transformer Book Trio will be priced at though.
