Do we know what the exchange support is for the Incredible? Does it support all the policies and have the encryption? I'm hoping to convince my company to let me connect it but I know they will want to have the encryption.

Thanks.

(Sorry if this was answered already. I trying to search and read through but there are a lot of post here)

Can someone tell me what does the extended warranty cover vs asurion?

I know the insurance covers lost phones and has a deductible, but what is the extended warranty?

Covers internal software defects, speaker/mic going bad, buttons stop working, etc.

did anyone get the 3 free phones? i was thinking about it thn makin a small profit on ebay or something. comments?

Need to have a line eligible to upgrade for each free phone

Kinda Strange....I did my pre order over the phone this morning and all went through......Just a few minutes ago i got an email showing that my item (phone) was shipped and that it was due for arrival tomorrow...I didn't think the phone was released until the 29th....hmmmmmm....I called verizon sales dept. and the girl checked the order number and it matched up??? She couldn't believe it either.....She said it looked like it was shipped through their business dept??? I also noticed the item was shipped from a warehouse in Memphis TN. if that means anything??? What do you guys think???

They do have a warehouse in Memphis- I'd be surprised if they didnt contact you saying they screwed up and dont activate the phone or else.. if they did ship you one accidentally, someones definitely getting canned..

I don't see the red fade to black case in verizon's accessories page. :(

Will be available at launch or shortly thereafter, along with all the other acc's

Bodyglove?

No- this is Verizon's shell/holster combo that they make for a lot of phones..

What brand do you suggest?
Looking at a class 6 16gb

for class 6, there are only two companies that are on top and competing for first IMO. they are A-Data and Transcend. both of these give you the true class six speeds, altough the sandisk class 4 is sometimes faster, according to what it's doing and whose testing it. there are a bunch of other brands on ebay (transflash, ridata, team, topgram) but i would advise against these since they are known to either die within a short period of time, not hold the 16gb like promised, or not actually give you class 6 speeds.

There are people here that would swear to the quality of no name brands, but those people are getting "lucky". the reason for the cheaper cards are either becasue they have been sitting in a warehouse for a while or because they are very cheaply made in a cheap factory.

A-Data has been around for a while now, so has Transcend, and I know they have good cards, but i don't have any first hand experience with them so I cant vouch. I am also not sure if they have true class 6 speeds or if they have lifetime warranties.

If I were you (and I was yesterday when I bought my card) I would go for the Transcend card. Transcend has a lifetime warranty an all of their cards and have been proven to have the true class 6 speeds.

here is the link:
Amazon.com: Transcend - Flash memory card ( microSDHC to SD adapter included ) - 16 GB - Class 6 - microSDHC: Electronics

If you want more decisions, you could do some googling, but I have done some research on this myself already.

good luck on your decision. ;)

Edit: It looks like a-data DOES have the warranty as well. So you choices now basically come down to price. and the above poster found an a-data card for 60 bucks.

p.s. thatnk for finding that AFTER i bought mine for 74 bucks. grr...... jk

From the PHONE SCOOP review:

"The Incredible is incredible. Despite its few weaknesses, the Incredible outmatches every other handset that Verizon Wireless currently offers."

Steven does the happy dance!

At the store I work in we definitely take new every two's without an issue.

The phones are supposed to arrive in the store on the 24th. We are going not going to be selling them till the 29th because we will supposedly get fined for each infraction.

So, some BB's will honor the NE2 and some won't? I have a two lines with $100 NE2's and want to get two phones. I've alreay looked at it on verizon and it says my total is $99 for each phone ($198 when in the cart together). I have alot of BB gift cards and that would be great if I used them up and didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Is there any tricks or advise to get my BB store to honor my NE2? Maybe flash my silver status if they resist? I have some Costco gift cards too, but I already asked them and they said they can not honor the NE2. Thanks in advance.

...But worth asking. Can VZW reps help here? Anyone knowledgeable......

I remember when getting phones previously from the vzw store i would have to cut out the upc Proof of purchase from the box for the mail-in rebate... Is this the deal on this for the Incredible? i'd hope not because i'd be sorta bummed (not totally, maybe 65% bummed) about cutting up the box for the upc code and the mail in rebate:(.... I'd like to keep the box as a keepsake. like my (gasp:eek:) iPod box, or PS3 etc...

any help or knowledge of this would be helpful/reassuring.

When you're ordering it online, the rebate is instant so you don't need to destroy your beautiful box.

If you order it from the VZN store, you'll have to.

yes, this is still the policy...

Sorry :(

Yes catchup time indeed!! It's been quite an exciting few days...

I haven't pre-ordered yet. I'm waiting to hear back from VZW I requested them to move my NE2 date up from 9/3/10 to tomorrow so I can order it.

Fingers crossed!!!

as far as the iphone 4g thing i dont like the idea of making the screen smaller even if the resolution is better. better resolution doesn't = easier to type on because the real estate on the keyboard has gotten bigger.

sim tray means iphone 4g is yet again linked to at&t = fail.

no iphone on verizon this year due to apple wanting nothing to do with cdma.

next year lte on verizon with iphone 4g, maybe.

verizon already has LTE service out to nearly 10 million people already. LTE = 30x as fast as sprint's 4G from what verizon told me last night since 4G isn't really more than 1.5x or 2x as fast as 3G. not nearly the speeds sprint is claiming.

WiMax will quickly become outdated. It's basically hi-powered long range WiFi. LTE definately will blow it away and like it's name (long term evolution) LTE will become the new standard for a long time...

Twill be awesome!!
