Root [OUDHS] Guide to Rooting your Premia 4G

If you install HiSuite from Huawei it gives the drivers you need. It also syncs the phone with Outlook 2007 (contacts and Calender)

I just bricked my new phone...

EDIT: My phone was stuck on the Huawei logo for like a long time after I did this so I had to remove the battery and re-power my phone. It was'nt bricked and I am now rooted.. But why was it stuck on the logo?

EDIT AGAIN: I opened up Superuser app and apparently I'm not rooted... Can someone help me?
Should I factory reset my phone and try again?

FINAL EDIT: Well all I did was I tried it again but this time I used MTP instead of Camera and it worked! I'm finally rooted.

Anyways thank you guys..

no need to blame anyone, you run this stuff at your own risk, you break something its because you did it, not us :)

I was mad at the time it happened.. Who wouldn't be ? Lol Anyways, that's the reason i kept editing my post. I hope that cleared everything up. Thanks for everything. I installed your recovery right away haha...

Root ass successful on second attempt. Needed different drivers to install root. Either way its done. Now time to find a good and stable rom....any suggestions??

So.... NO app root still huh?

**** it, I'm using a library computer or something ASAP. Getting sick of this stock bs

@metrokackz - did you every resolve your issue? (stuck in boot loop or unable to do recovery)

Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid ending up in same boat as you did if I decide to attempt to root my phone using this method (motochopper script)?

I am curious, did you install a custom ROM or did you just root and then delete some stock apps and then tweak some system settings like CPU clock and governor?

Thx

my wife just got this phone and I just rooted it, had to try a few drivers though, the ones from the Huawei website worked, but the phone was only recognized by my pc running vista in mass storage mode, but all went well. ty to where credit is due for another simple root!

framaroot is known to make phones lose root if usb debugging is disabled, as well as making phones unrootable if unrooted, and from what I understand, it's assumed that it does something to the phone which corrupts or changes something internally which is unchangeable...

I posted a working link to framaroot I have used in the Coolpad Quattro 4g section under a thread called -Rooting Problems...- androidforums.com/quattro-4g-all-things-root/ if anyone wants to try that method...

You're still using this when framaroot is proven to work? Seriously?

this isnt the framaroot thread..and why should someone have to go looking for it when there is a thread and download for this phone specifically?
please show some respect to the op.
