I might move away from Sourcery for 4.3 and to a simpler ROM -I don't use a quarter of the options of the ROM and I wonder if all of those options could be slowing the device down a bit.RIP and scratch one snake
If you're on the Sourceress ROM and didn't get the push notification, go to ROM Updates in Tools. There will you find the new Believe ROM, based on Android 4.3... along with the 4.3 Gapps, SuperSU (the ROM isn't rooted) and PRIMED04 bootloader.
It is NOT Sourcery, but a whole new beginning!

I've used Adaway for over a year and have never seen a single ad, updates automatically daily and a one click to revert back to stock.
OB
I'm partial to adfree and never see any ads anywhere either.

Good morning!
Has anyone ever built an Android ROM from source?
I just want to build a basic ROM for the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus with the BLE commits undone so I can test if it works on our phones.Yeah, it takes quite a bit of time to do so.

Are there tutorials out there? Is it easier to build CM for example than building AOSP from the Google repository?
Thanks.
Morning all! Hope everyone had a good weekend, glad to hear your travels were safe Bread!
My Chromecast is supposed to be here today. Pretty excited about that.
I'm kind of surprised to hear the new N7 doesn't support Google Wallet, but it's understandable, the tablet is a little unwieldy for that.
Perfect thanks - I might just use my Mac instead of spinning up a Linux VM unless I can get someone on XDA help me out.It shouldn't be any more difficult, maybe just more time consuming considering how much content is needed to compiled or downloaded. The easiest way I can think of to do this would be to create a fork of what what you're trying to use in github, remove the commits that you don't want, fix any issues that might arise because of it, then download the source and compile it. I learned from use a basic tutorial that the developer of Eclipse Rom wrote:AOSP/Elemental X Compiling Guide - Linux Mint 14 KDE
Yeah, I'm excited for my Chromecast as well. It was suppose to arrive Friday, but I called UPS and asked them to hold it since I was going to be out of town this past weekend. Going to pick it up after work today.

Well, here's the day. My friggin white Pebble should be finally arriving.
Mail truck is outside now, hopefully our building is delivered to before I leave for work!
