Root [ROM][MS870] Katana

Welp PG got this phone for dev-ing, so I don't think he's moving on any time soon. I got this phone about a month after I got the SGS3, so I'm good for now. I won't be getting another phone for a long time. The Spirit is my play phone, so whatever my skill set allows me to do for it, I'll do. lol

Thanks GT. Glad you said something. I'm still hoping on that new ROM ... wink wink ... even though I can't see what could be better than Katana v3!!! Lol
 
This is my first smart phone. I got it for the price and it's specs. I had no idea about dev. But thanks to GT and PG I am more then Happy. In def not going any where. Thank you.

I'm zipping it up right now so I can flash it and make sure all is good. Nothing special, just an updated CM like look that's easier to theme and work with. Also made unsecure kernel for it with interactive gov and no overclock. Katana is in too many pieces to continue to theme and mod it. I can do some pretty cool themes for the new rom now. :D

If all goes well, I can have it up within a couple hours, maybe less.

Would we still be able to flash the very first kernel that's clocked at 1.7 safely?

What? OMG!!! I mean OMG!!!! Lol. I'm like a little school girl. Oh no, now I'm gonna be on the edge of my seat ......
 
Its been a while since I did anything to my phone, I'm still rocking V2... can I just flash this after wiping or do I need to install the latest CWM touch?
 
I'm still gonna rock katana v3. I love it. But eventually I will make the switch. But until then I've been dipping into your apks in your new ROM and installing them in katana. LoL
 
I have a question. I'm using your katana ROM. Am I able to change the font and boot using ROM toolbox without anything happening to my phone?

I don't use rom toolbox so I wouldn't know. If you decide to try it just make a backup in CWM before you do.
 
I'm also getting error 491 when trying to update any apps in Google play. any suggestion on how I can resolve this?
