WORLD'S BIGGEST GALAXY S3 BATTERY- ZeroLemon 7000mAh Battery w/Review- add CBA result

ZeroLemon's user instructions have some very unrealistic and inconsiderate directions. The user manual instructs new users to use the battery until it's discharged to 1% or 2% before recharging it back to 100%, and to follow that instruction for four times when users start using a new ZeroLemon battery.

It is almost impossible to follow that instruction when you have a life, a job and a schedule. People recharge their cell phones overnight when they go home - regardless of how much charges are left in their phones. I received my ZeroLemon battery on Monday. I started using it on Tuesday. It lasted for three days and reached 2% charge in the middle of my work day. There was nowhere and no way for me to plug in the phone and recharge the battery at the time. So I was forced to stop using my phone and conserve power, which was frustrating and defeated the purpose of having an extended battery.

Moreover, it takes more 18 hours or so to fully charge the 7000mAh battery from 1% or 2% back to 100%. I started recharging at about 10 PM on Friday night, and at 12:30PM on Saturday the battery is at about 80% charge. By my estimate, it would take another three hours for the battery to reach 100% charge. I have an appointment at 1PM. I'm taking my cell phone with me when I go out. There is no way people are going to stay home and wait 18 to 20 hours for the cell phone to recharge from 1% to 100%.

ZeroLemon's instructions for users to do full-cycle recharge from 1% to 100%, for at least four times when they start using a new battery, are stupid, unrealistic and inconsiderate. ZeroLemon recommends users to do that every time, which is ridiculous. There is no way anyone with a life, a job and a schedule can follow ZeroLemon's ridiculous instructions. I am certainly not going to schedule my life around a battery's inconvenient and unrealistic recharging instructions.

Hey guys I need some help here I just got my zero lemon battery but the first day I got I skipped the 12hr charge I only charged it to 100% witch was no where near 12hrs but I did drain it down to 2% and then charged it for 12hrs ... what I'm wondering is it that okay to do because my first charge only lasted me about 10 hrs and I don't no how long it's going to last me this time because I Just completed the 12hr charge this morning but it Dosent look to good because it's only bin 2hrs and it's all ready at 79% I'm not sure what to do here because it seems that everyone else's battery's Are lasting alot longer than mine I would appreciate if some one could help me out here thank you in advance!

That's absolutely true it's very hard to comply with their instructions but people do still try. As for myself I did so because lucky me that it was my day off when I got my battery and did the full 12 hour charge. Maybe think about getting one of those extra charges just for the battery, I've heard people do that too while they use the stock battery for a while.

^Does anyone know, if this is absolutely necessary for good battery life?

Not sure if it's absolutely necessary but I guess it's highly recommended for us to do so.

That should be alright, I've noticed my battery drains quicker sometimes depending on how much you use it. But just keep an eye on it and see how long it lasts you. If you might have any issues we have the 180 days warranty don't we? So yeah :)

Ya we do have the warranty I just don't no if Its not lasting because I didn't do the 12hr first charge and did it after I used it for a day but I'll find Today how long it will last after over done the 12hr charge and iv also read that some people's batteries only started lasting longer after they've done the 4-5 time full charge cycles is that true??

Your first charge should last 24 hours minimum, that first cycle is normally the hardest to drain.

If it's still lasting 10 hours or less over the next few cycles, I'd send it back for a replacement

:banghead:

I thought it was bad to run these new type of batteries that low(causes stress on them) AND if they do not have a memory, why drain them 3-5 times?

Edit; this new battery allows me to use my phone, how I want too and not worry about battery life. Its like having a new phone.

Thanks guys.

I follow their instructions with no problem, lol I don't see anything unrealistic about it. I'm a workaholic, and I know how long my battery last me until I need to charge it again. Long as that's known, there shouldn't be no problems.

The second cycle lasted only a day.

Oh dose the wake lock also keep the screen on or just awake on background?... iv also contacted zero lemon about my problem they told me to complete my charging cycle first and we'd go from there I'm on the 4th charge and still no improvement I wonder if this is caused from using the battery before starting the 5 day charge cycle and only starting the cycle after a day of use

My understanding is the screen isn't turned on but the phone is unable to enter a sleep mode which saves battery by turning a lot of things off.

An app wake lock will be something like facebook trying to sync.

It's kind of like trying to sleep when your little brother is shouting every 20 mins thus keeping you awake.

Great battery, lasts 4 days for me know average. Great battery kayaking in the Gulf offshore using gps, noaa weather radar or calls. Case sucks big time and it's thick, but I use it on weekends when fishing.

How do I perform a battery calibration with this battery?

I've used a few different apps to calibrate the battery when it's full. They all said the battery is 4333mAh, not 7000mAh. Either all those battery calibration apps were wrong, or the battery is a lemon.

Yeah I wanna know too, I would think if I won't be playing games and using Viber that maybe my battery would last that long, maybe give us some things you do with your phone so we could get an idea on how we may make it last longer. Thanks!

This battery has liberated me from my wall/car charger. I average about 8 hours a day, but I charge it nightly.
