Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Galaxy Gear ~ 25 hours of battery life and only works with Note 3 at launch AND only other Galaxy phones, errrr no thanks.

I'll stick to my Pebble thank you.

Doesn't the leaked pic of the purported Nexus 5 have a LG logo?

Plus other "reputable" rumors indicate similar to G2, except potentially lower specs traded off for cost. Think Snapdragon 600 rather than 800, no OIS camera type downgrades. Plus no buttons on back.

All rumor though. Really can't wait to hear more about the Nexus 5. The AF phone group is up now for the Nexus 5.

I'm getting excited for the Nexus 5, just so I can be let down again, like with lower specs (aka Moto X) or no Verizon compatibility. But like a fool I'll keep trying.

OMG I work at McDonalds too! I can kinda relate to this. I don't remember if I shared my story on these forums, but I'll share it again. :D

So It was like at 9PM I was working at the counter. This drunk African American man comes to McDonalds and at first he orders a McDouble.
Then after he eats that, he comes and orders a cookie. He pulls out what little change he had left. About $0.60. (A cookie cost $0.64) But I let it go because I just wanted him to go away because he was drunk.
While he eats the cookie, this Asian couple comes up and they order a lot of food, I guess it was for their kids, but while they are ordering, the drunk man asks for another cookie, but didn't want to pay for it. I simply tell him that he doesn't have enough for a cookie. He then goes off telling me I'm a racist, shouting. I called out for the manager, who then called the police, and leaving him in a rampage, saying he will be waiting for me to get off to beat me up.

I stayed late that day.
 
I told myself I was never going to watch Jobs and I ended up watching it for the sake of watching something. It was meh. Sorta like watching the Facebook movie.
 
Good morning - it's Thursday already, woot!

Winter bowling league starts tomorrow, pretty stoked. Hoping to keep up my average and I would really like to bowl a 300 this season.
 
Good luck, Stigy! I bowled a 240 once, averaged about 200... can't do it anymore. But 240 was my top game. Hope you ace the lane! :D

I don't know, folks: that Note 3 is a beast of a phone. It's quietly and quickly trying to steal me away from my beloved Moto X. But it's such a huge friggin' phone! Which will land in my hand?

Just missed one myself last year(solid 10 on the 12th shot) , but did pull my first 800 that night. My league starts tomorrow.

That's still really good, do you still bowl on a league just for fun?
 
Yeah the Note 3 is nice. I could see me getting it but with all the stuff it can do I wouldn't use anywhere near half of what it does. I watched the Samsung video and those people have a way more busy/important life than I do :o
 
My step son has the note II and it is Huuuuge. I watched him talk on it the other day and it just doesn't look right.

You haven't heard my tale? :rolleyes:

I used to bowl. And golf. And I was quite good at both of them. I bowled about a 200 and golfed about a 68 on average. But something happened over the years. My golf and bowling scores began to reverse.

It got to the point that I bowled a 68 and golfed a 200 (don't laugh - I got my money's worth out of the greens fees every single time!). I was used to people playing through, and was on the course all day long.

Finally the PGA sent me a kind letter, essentially banning me from any golf course that didn't have a windmill on it. That was when I hung up my clubs and sold everything off. Now I Moderate at Android Forums and pine about the good ol' days...

Actually, an abdominal surgery 11 years ago cut through all my abdominal muscles, fascia and - most tragically - all 12 thoracic nerves. Other than the constant sensation of my nerves being severed RIGHT NOW (top shelf pain meds dull the pain, but can't stop it), my abdominal strength isn't where I can swing a bowling ball. Or swing a club accurately. So here I sits :)

I still haven't bowled higher than 278, with a 787 series but that is the closest I have gotten.

Over the summer I had a bunch of 278s, some 260s but all just missing that 300. So close.

It's been 5 years since my last 300, but I've had more 270 somethings since then than I care to count. You'll get there with time. I've got a friend who's really good who didn't get his first until he was 41, but he ended up shooting 3 of them that season. Go figure :rolleyes:.
