I found the culprit that causes 1080p to be purple.. Dun dun dun..... F KERNEL!! No matter which form of the f kernel causes this on 1080p. So if you want 1080p you'll need to flash PG's build from firmware C without a loki'd kernel or over clocked (in my opinion we don't really need oc anyway) which is also lokid. Here's the thing though Playful God made a cwm that is loki'd, but because the aboot img is what's causing the factory reset (according to bliss) it's not perfected yet, but it does install, boot, and work. Unfortunately we are not allowed to host links for Bob's rom so I can't give you a modified build that does not flash the F kernel. If you wish to use his build you will need to do this on your own, or you can simply flash PG's build. If anyone has the ability to make a working loki'd C kernel, that would solve everything, but keep in mind that PG did this already and it did not boot. So next best option is flashing his loki modded cwm recovery. You can still get into 2nd-init after bricking without factory reset by tapping the volume down button at initial boot.

There is a plus I've found to being on firmware c and PG's build .. My data speeds increased by 4mbps from what they were on F and just using the c modem(which in my opinion didn't change much)..

So here's the cwm modded recovery thanks to non other than
PLAYFUL GOD. Dev-Host - l0-CWM-test.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service I urge you all to show him some major respect and appreciation for all he's done for us. Even if you're not using his build he has helped everyone of us in some way. He has continued working on the Motion when it seems everyone else has moved on and I know those that use Bob's build have gotten a lot of stuff from PG's build to make it work better so please tell him thanks..

i made a thread a while back explaining my 1080p video was fixed after flashing c firmware, everyone did not have the same success though

Because it's not the actual firmware it's the kernel. The only way to get the c kernel is to either compile it from the firmware and flash it or flash the entire firmware..

i mean. i explained that i flashed the whole firmware, like i said it worked for me lol. someone said they flashed the prebuilt kdz c firm and the one you had to convert and they still had no luck.

Again because they most likely flashed a loki'd F kernel or used Bob's build which automatically flashes F upon installation. You flash on c firmware all day but if you flashed an F kernel afterwards it overwrites the c kernel.. I've tested all of this personally and thoroughly and it does work.

Mind telling me how to stop it from flashing the f kernal? Or how to remove it? Lol would really help! :rolleyes: :)

If you want to remove the kernel from being flashed just extract rom.zip/META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script and open the file in a text editor compatible with unix encoding (notepad++ will do). Then delete the following lines:
view plaincopy to clipboardprint?
ui_print("Flashing Version F Kernel");
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p7");
Repack the updater-script and optionally you can delete the boot.img, and you should be set. I can't really upload it since I would first have to acquire BobZ's permission. Though, this can all be avoided if you just used PG's build.

Bro.. Thnx for @ll u do.. U hv become my best steve jobs.. With the respect of all our Dev,s.

the loki'd CWM isnt really required as 2nd-init recovery will work just fine to flash things. Having the loki'd CWM installed tho does give one more options if they fubared the 2nd-init recovery along with /system. Just dont do a adb reboot recovery or use the power + vol- button combo.

Getting into 2nd-init recovery just press power + toggle vol-+ once the lg screen pops up. If the LG reset screen shows up just cancel and then try again. ;)

I will provide Swainsmith with a new img too, since the test one had some things in it that might cause issues. Dont actually recall what I did to the img I sent him, so better safe than sorry. ;)

so couldn't i just flash c kernel and leave faboot and still use loki recovery
and have 1080p? does it only work on c kernel? what about d kernel? because it's in hk cm10 i think.

i don't use loki kernel anyway except on stock because of google books and goole movies being removed. i have mine underclocked to 800mhz which is fine for calls, text, fb, tapatalk etc... i only ramp it up to 1.5 for games etc..

well supposing the camera app your uploading works, here's the list of things that DON'T work on my phone using cm10.
1. 4g icon
the end.

lol just flash the flashable version c kernel. unbricking probably didn't overwrite the kernel. or try factory reset.

Didn't mean recently, it was a while back.. I'm all about the Kindle Fire I got for free this week now anyway.. Flashed CM 10.1.. It's awesome ;)
