Wait, really? Going to try it out anyway.Except for point of sale which is still limited to approved devices.
Verizon phones will NOT be compatible. Sideload it and it works all day long![]()
If you are rooted on Verizon it will work.

OK, help please
I sideloaded it and it installed fine on my unrooted RAZR MAXX HD. I enabled NFC. I'm on VZW. Are you saying that if I go to 7-11, it won't work? Evil Big Red will block it?
Supposedly it will let you send money to people via gmail, like the web based version does.Google Wallet that doesn't let me pay for things via NFC does what exactly then? I'm going to try it on the way home tonight and see what happens.
The question about 7-11 is more tricky. Launch the app. Does it say anywhere "tap to pay" with a CC pictured? If not, then it may not work to pay.

Any gas pumps nearby that have it? Try it outside at the pump instead of going into the store.
Verizon wants to certify the Nexus 7 LTE now before they let anyone activate. LOL
I'm in Canada at the moment, so doubt anything would work here. Which is why I'm watching nj02vette to see if he meets with success. Would love it for when I'm in the States and can use it at the fast food places and drug stores where I've seen terminals.
Yeah, but I can already send money via Paypal.Supposedly it will let you send money to people via gmail, like the web based version does.
That would be interesting. I also keep seeing commercials for Sprint's new promotion, "unlimited data for life." Or has it already been exposed as having lots of fine print?Yeah, T-Mobile's Jump actually comes out pretty good compared to the rest because they don't have subsidy repayment built into their plans like Verizon and AT&T do. Word on the street is that Sprint is going to release a similar plan to T-Mobile on iPhone launch day.
