Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] LS720ZV5_00.S5_00.P25013.cab ERROR?

I recently rooted my ls720 with motochopper and all was working great until I found my 3 year old with my phone. Uninstall Master was open on the System Apps tab - not good. Ever since, Play Store and most other Google apps won't open. I get this error: [HIGH]google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly[/HIGH]I have NO IDEA what he deleted so I figured I would just replace the stock firmware and take all back to zero...
And therein lies the problem: following a "guide" I found in this forum I began the process.
Found the right .cab file. check.
Converted it to a .kdz file. check.
Connected my phone to my pc with the right drivers. check.
Load the newly converted .kdz file. -FAIL-.
For whatever reason, I get this error: [HIGH]Launching S/W update
Unpacking KDZ
kdz decrypt error.
Extract file error
===FINISHED===[/HIGH]So, is there anyway to replace stock with the original .cab file?
OR
Does anyone here have a verified LS720 kdz file that I may use to fix my phone? Technically, it's not bricked. I can make and receive calls and use most apps but I can't add new apps and that really sucks donkey dong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

first of all lol, i'm sorry.

sounds like you are in the same boat as me, if you can at least boot that's good hopefully you installed that recovery app from that other thread and did a backup if not you might have to wait and see until sammyz creates an alternate flashing method

If I were you I would try the LG Mobile Support Tool and see if that will allow you to restore...no promises though I had no luck, but I couldn't boot however

Also I forget to mention that error indicates a corrupted download so try it again on a reliable connection and maybe you will get different results
 
tried the lg support tool. it crashes just before update. I have win7 ult, so I tried compatibility mode. -FAIL-
trying to download the .cab again with Opera instead of Firefox. We'll see :)
 
I'm beginning to wonder if this even works. I finally downloaded a complete and good version of the LS720ZV5_00.S5_00.p25013.cab file. It converted fine. Now I get all the way to the Update s/w notification and it crashes. I have literally tried everything.
Can anyone even verify that this even works, I'm beginning to wonder.
DOES NOT WORK w/ LG Update tool
DOES NOT WORK w/ KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
DOES NOT WORK w/ KP500-Utils-EN.exe

absolutely no luck. sammyz pm'ed me saying he had an alternative way to flash... but that was a week ago.
i need this to work, i've even tried installing winxp on a virtual machine because i read it worked on xp. no luck there either :(

I'm gonna try another computer it seems kdz can be really touchy and needs to be prepared a certain way before trying to flash

ive seen guides for other phones that says to shake it while you are trying to flash even...pretty crazy.

but since everyone is having problems getting the update to start I would imagine kdz isn't communicating with the phone properly...
