I don't remember where I saw it but someone stated that due to Sense UI there is no separate lock screen paper. It will show the main screen (center) of your wallpaper.

Unless something is different on the incredible than the eris, no. here is my lockscreen and then one of my regular home screens:

Thanks for the answer, I really hope the Incredible is like The other poster's Eris, that is one of the big reasons I stuck with A_C's S2U2 lock screen over the WM 6.5 lock!!!!

One thing I crave in these devices is customization!!!

(Possibly) a silly question. Does android support .png format as wallpaper? My (soon-to-be-retired) Omnia i910 accepts both .png and .jpg, and I had better result with .png as .jpg tends to produce noticible artifact on the phone screen.

Looks like Android OS supports .png file as well (if not, feel free to correct me).
So... here are some of mine (drat... .png attachment is limited to 146.5kB):
Oh, and I did not produce any of those images, just resized them to 960x800.

I have 2, probably dumb, resolution questions.

1) If you only do 480x800, will the image just repeat when you swipe to the next screen, or will it scroll off to black, or something? I assume the first.

2) I understand making them larger so when you swipe, the bacground moves too, however I'm not getting the 960. Aren't there 7 home screens? Why not 3360x800? Other than the obvious finding a picture that goddam wide that doesn't look ridiculous.

It's because it only moves the wallpaper a little (not an entire screen width) as you move to the right or left.
