OMJ's mod just allows "Roam only" to be selected in Settings.

The ROM is already set up for PRL modification (see "Features" section of OP). I use 16016, which allows 3G roaming on Verizon.

What you linked will only get you 1x though, since our device only support 1x on the 800Mhz band.

And I haven't looked into DSS proxy at all. Not even sure where the option is.

Well, I oscillate between being blind and being an idiot - sorry, as you say, it's in the op. I just never played with PRL stuff before.

I pretty much just care about voice service, but it's good to know that you're giving me an opportunity for more in a pinch. :)

The DSS has its own menu under ##data#/EPST - I don't bother with changing it, here's the defaults in case you want to check it.

PS to rootlinux - yeah, saw you've been here a while, but the welcome stands. :)

I am giving it a shot. Really felt weird flashing a new rom. I have been on MeanBean like forever. Only doing stuff like NoSense and using Nova.

Was nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof when it booted and seemed to get stuck. lol

Had to make myself put the phone down and leave it alone. :)

I don't know much about PRLs myself.

The cool thing about having it enabled though is that in Gallery, you can sort pictures by location. There's actually a map that will show you exactly where you took your pictures and how many. Might want to check it out before you disable ;).

Cool feature! :thumbup:

Just wanted to warn folk though. Sometimes they post pictures from in their home or work and don't really want the location shared.
 
Speaking of the gallery. I had an almost eerie experience. I took some pictures of a horrendous accident scene I went past in Memphis a couple of months ago.
When I was checking out the Gallery, the pics started up in a slow slide show and played some kind of music as it did. Needless to say, I was sort of surprised. :confused:

That is an interesting feature!

You can find PRL's in Captains thread here: [PRL] Post your Sprint PRL here! - LATEST: 25016, 24016 - xda-developers

Net follow these steps:
1. Download whatever prl you want and place in on your internal SD card

2. Dial ##778# and enter your MSL

3. Under the PRL tab click update PRL and select the one you want after it loads them up, then after click ok

4. Commit Changes it should prompt you that it will reboot the device.
After reboot, look at you about device in settings to see the new PRL.

*Note* If you want to revert back to the Sprint PRL, just update the PRL as normal and it will bring you back to where you started.

It's been a while since I've done this, so if I missed a step feel free to correct me.

The ones you want won't be in that thread. You'll want 16016, which is in the "Every Sprint PRL" thread, buried towards the end, possibly.
 
The only other app I can't get to work is Sprint TV.
It worked on NINs Sense 5 port I think.

This Rom is awesome and might be my new daily... For a while anyway. :)
