If Apple moves up their launch date and drops the Phone early, you think they did this because??

Because of Rivers Tyson analogy. Lol. Wow.

You must admit the marketing will be overwhelming. And all the little apple families and fans will run to apple stores with the genius and buy 3 iPhones like drones and timeshares at Disney.

4g? What's that? It's the new 4 g iPhone of course.

Sprint if you watching, release in may.

My wife is the same way, she has a dumb phone now, but she wants a physical keyboard. She doesn't like my Iphone (neither do I), she says the virtual keyboard is wierd. I am going to get her a moment when I get my EVO.

won't the wives want your EVOs once they seem them? if so, will you give them up?

My mothers Incredible came in the mail today at 12, I can only assume that others have theirs as well and are talking about it.

Yes I know, but one more can't hurt.

I thought maybe some people here would like a review from one of their own, and NOT a VZW/Incredible fan boy.

I'm only using it for 30 days, but the review gives me something to do.

Also, it will give people an idea of what is expected on the EVO, 2.1 with Sense.

Not gonna force it down anyones throat, it will just be there if you want to check it out!

:)

I agree. But why would Apple have to be on the offense??

they don't have to be - but they are. right now they are like a big shark moving through the water in this space - and everyone else is like those little fish that swim behind it and pick up the scraps.

That's why I will get my EVO first. While I am filling out the paperwork, she can play with it. If she wants one, I will get her one instead of the moment. No way in hell will I give mine up.

Otherwise, she still has 30 days to decide if she wants to keep her moment or get an EVO.

Palm tried to reinvent themselves and couldn't keep up with companies with deeper pockets. It happens. I'm glad to see them picked up by HP because I would love a WebOS tablet. On better hardware, WebOS would be excellent. Too bad Palm couldn't afford to build it. I've never seen such a flexible OS grow as much as WebOS has over the past 10 months or so.

Hey Neo... I did enjoy Web OS for what it was worth, but the hardware just didn't do it for me. I could see this as a tablet OS and I really had wished Google picked up Palm and Web OS. That would have been an unstoppable mix, IMO.

Hahaaa...well since I am the female in my relationship and am the one getting this phone, if I reverse the roles then absolutely NOT will my fiance get mine! I don't even think he'll be allowed to play with it LOL. He can get his own if he wants, but hands off MINE.:D

It's really nice to see Jackson (OPINION ONLY NO FACTS) agreeing that it would make complete sense for Sprint to bump up the release date. Since the phone is "ready" per say, I really don't understand what exactly is stopping them?! Let's just hope they know what they are doing and get the ball rolling SOON.

No one likes bullies...your going down APPLE!

Lol, yeah finally gave mine permission too. Ok let me explain the permission part, She got her $150 credit before me and I get mine on June 1st so I wanted to be sure the evo would launch around that time before I let her order, because I was just going to use her credit to get the evo and switch it to my number right afterwards.

I doubt mine will, she thinks her moment is too big, so I doubt it. She just looks at me and says" cool honey" when ever I try to show her something on my phones.

With all of this apple stuff, and this is pure specualtion so please take it with a grain of salt, it would be very mart of Sprint to move up the release date. Everything is tentative to this point. The phone is finished and they are being produced at crazy fats speeds, this is a fact. They just have to be shipped to store locations, this too is a fact. So if Sprint really wanted to they could bump up the release dat by a week or two. Nothing is really holding them back (opinion)

Jackson
all the software is done?

Seriously Apple will not play a big role in the Android EVO launch.. Apple fans are apple fans.. The tech blogs are going to compare the two phones relentlessly.

Free unpaid for press for Sprint.. They will compare specs, features, 4g etc. The Evo has the other phone beat..

You will never sway true Iphone fans away but people are more aware of specs, features, coverage and pricing like never before and that is ironically thanks to AT&T and the Iphone

It's not bad once you overclock it. I want the EVO though. That screen, Sense, and the Snapdragon are so tempting. Palm is going down though.

Considering they just got bought out by HP for about 1.2 billion, and HP itself is a multi-billion dollar corporation, I would heartily disagree sir.

Palm is here to stay for foreseeable future.

Now that the EVO is coming out, I have little interest in Palm products, but we should be happy Palm will stick around.

Healthy competition drives innovation.

I will enjoy seeing Palm develop new technologies, which will in turn force competitors such as Google to keep up, and vice versa.

I believe he said release date but not a price, I could be mistaken however.

He did say date. I don't think the Sprint people have decided on a price yet. This thing is really getting put together fast. :D

If they keep heading in the direction, they will end up at the same place. They need drastic changes to be considered again by consumers. Their image is tarnished over the Pre and Pixi. The market is very crowded right now with the iPhone and Android climbing at a very steady rate, I'd like to see even WP7 and KIN survive this crazy market. webOS needs a lot of work before it will really pick up speed.
