Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM][Linaro][Team Osiris] Vanilla Rootbox 4.1.2 for ZTE Warp

Just a heads up the menu button doesn't work as people have stated and I have been getting quite a few lock ups. Once accessing settings, once opening Play Store, once while turning Wifi on, once while opening browser. Lock ups happen randomly accessing different apps through the Apps menu (clock, browser) I have two Camera apps showing up in the Apps menu. One says "Cannot connect to the camera" and locks up phone, the other works.

I don't see others having all these issues is there something I have possibly done wrong? Iv installed ROM's multiple times so I am pretty sure I understand the process. The gapps pack seemed to install just fine also but it was kind of crashy before the gapps package as well.

I hope I can figure this out because it seems really fast and responsive when its working smoothly.

I think a lot of us have those issues, but knowing how far DM and Osiris came with this we are just happy to have it(at least I am). I know the bugs are being ironed out daily .i think aokp is the smoothest right now.. but i cant wait for rootbox

Just a quick question, and I guess this applies to all of your new roms (Great Job!!!) now that we have JB on the warp does TWRP or CWM need to be updated? I have 2.2.2.1 on my warp and if I remember corectly it was a modified version just for Warp. I read somewhere something about custom recovery and using it with either the wrong bootloader or version of android. (not sure exactly) So can someone please elaborate on this question?

The recovery will work no matter what android version you're on. No need to update. This is why we can switch between cwm and twrp whenever we want and it'll go unaffected. However, I think CWM is up to 6.something so an update to that couldn't hurt. It'll still work with no issues with jelly bean though.

ok maybe it was something to do with bootloader versions. I read it on tablet forums on XDA as I have a Nexus 7 and an Asus Transformer Prime that I also play with and install roms. I never heard of a bootloader update on the Warp though so I guess it does not apply.

Just an FYI on the menu key not working, there is a setting in AOKP/Lockscreen Options for Menu Unlock, so I tried it and it works. I do not know if this helps you guys narrow the problem down any, as at least you know the button can work properly.

One other thing, this one on the camera issue not connecting. Someone mentioned he thought he had 2 camera apps. IDK but if you go into gallery there is a camera icon on top, if you use it a dialog box pops up asking if you want to use gallery camera or camera camera to complete this action, so maybe there is 2 installed and they are interfering with one another?

Good info on the menu button!! I've been playing with this ROM as well, it looks like the two camera apps are for front and rear camera?

Just reflashed with a diff. light Gapps I had and the ROM is running much smoother than the first time I tried not sure why but its not locking up every minute . I tried everything for a menu button as in floating apps everything nothing works, can't wait until the next version is dropped .but it seems to be smoother than aokp at this moment hopefully it stays like this ..

Damn after running a different light gapps I had this ROM is my daily...more stable than aokp ,once the menu button works I'll be in love. I know this ROM had alotbof issues with Another gapps package but now its buttery smooth. Thanks dm
..update: day 5 five still very smooth once a day maybe a restart but I use my phone as a PC lol ..I prefer over aokp

Which gapps version did you use?

Hey sorry for so many posts, I'm just wonderinng if someone would try the light gapps one post above with this or aokp. I have tested on both and it is working very smooth compared to the other light gapps that was posted. I hope it can help someone out.
I actually having needed the menu button much, most apps have it built in lol...I would like it someday though.

Since there about 3-4 versions of this lite gapps package floating around, I am using the one named xelyt.zip comes in at about 8.8mbs, But it seems to be working on every JB Rom we have so far.

I know.. I was using the gapps your mentioning untill I tried the one I posted above. And now that I'm using it root box is running amazing the only thing I tried doing is using one instead ,would gapps really make a big diff.?

I think it probably could,;) I have three versions of it now, all different if you open them up and look. ;)

yes. idk how or why. but it does. in liquidsmooth / Carbon 4.2. alot of things would crash until gapps installed. then run perfect

I realize that .. I just didn't realize how much a diff. Lightweight Gapps package made on a phone. I tried 3 also and realised there's 0 lag on root box or aokp with the right match .I just don't want people getting frustrated and giving up without getting the right match.I dunno? I know I'm just stating what worked for me extremely well.

Just a quick question, I had been using AOKP rom but ran into the mic not working issue so I went back to an old GB rom for now, do all of the JB roms have this mic not working sometimes issue or is it just the AOKP rom?
I want to restore a backup I made of the RootBox rom but want to know if it also has the mic issue first so I know what to expect. Thanks! Absolutely fantastic work you guys, I am so glad there is still talent working on this phone.

(For AOKP) Go back and follow Lil"s instructions on how to flash this rom. (recovery of course,) factory reset, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik, repeat. Superwipe. Flash rom, apn(zip) and gapps-JB 4.1.2 signed , then boot. Get wi-fi and play store set up. Set CPU to 1612 max, 61 min, onDemand, and noop. And there ya go. Mic works, MMS works......Happy Sailing!:):):)
Now this may not work for Vanilla right now, But it works for AOKP. Vanilla is still a work in progress. Just be patient. DM, and Phenom, and the rest of their team are working on it! :)

When DM gets the new build up, I will use the gapps you posted when I flash the rom, if it is working well for you then it should for us too:D

ok I will give it a try, and i was in no way trying to rush the devs, I know how much work they put into this and all just for the love of doing it. I always say thank you and congratulate them when they release something new. I can wait I just wanted to know being these are being developed by the same group of devs if they all used the same base and share the same issues?

By the way when you say Superwipe are you talking about the Tool Superwipe that you have to flash in recovery?
