HTC DROID Eris OS 2.1v3 download

I just installed 2.1v3 and everything seems to run very smooth

Have yet to see that dreadful dropped audio bug during calls so I am pretty pleased with it as of now

i have 2.1v2 i have to download the new file via my eris... I did it before. But every time i download it, it gets to 45% then says it wad interrupted, please help.

I've been reading up on rooting and have decided that it's really more advanced than anything I will ever need. Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless I want to change themes, or mess with the ROM, there is no reason to root. The only thing I'm wondering now is will all the apps in the market work on v3 and will it run as fast as it would if it were rooted.

Flashed v3 but can't seem to shake the 50% w/o signal bug. Maybe I'm not clearing it correctly.

1. Enter Airplane Mode

2. Put phone to sleep

3. Exit Airplane Mode

I've done this with it charging and not charging and I am still at or above 50% w/o signal.

I hope it's something I'm doing wrong...feel free to point it out if i am. I've tried *228 to update PRL. Should I flash again?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I haven't reset my phone since it booted for the first time after installing the beta and I haven't had the 50% bug yet. Maybe after I restart it or something.

It seems very laggy for me. Gonna ATK the hell out of it and see if that changes anything.

Actually, a restart may be in order after reinstalling all these apps.

Sorry the sarcasm didn't come through properly. Im drunk on v3, or maybe the 8 or 9 beers. Cant tell

Are you wearing nothing but your boxers or less? If you aren't, you aren't drunk enough.

You know you're an AF fiend if it's 2 AM and you're in the dark and you're on here with just your boxers on.

Not for analog, might be useful for digital hearing aid users.
(mine is the older generation analogs, not getting a digital one til they make it with bluetooth for my level of loss. lol) But thank you for sharing that I was also wondering if that setting was still in the menu.

It'll be quite some time before there is bluetooth *in* the aid. Size and power consumption issues. But there are options to stream from bluetooth to the hearing aids and available for power digitals. Just FYI.

Seriously, you are not missing much. Even if root isn't your thing watch for a while and see if you can live with the bugs that crop up. Seems ok so far but you never know.

I know of one (Siemens) but it is for mild loss. I am at 90DB and greater. Feel free to PM me any information you have as I would love to read it. Thank You for sharing the info. ;)

I get this error when clicking on certain contacts: The Application People (process com.android. htccontacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I did a search and tried what they suggested but no luck?

So, I installed the new leak about 2 hours ago. Did the +228 options 1 and 2, and have not had to do the airplane mode trick. I've got 0% time without signal thus far, so it seems to be working fine for me.

I can confirm that apps like BofA and Digg now show the web pages like they should as well.

All around, good stuff.
