HTC DROID Eris OS 2.1v3 download

Anyone else have trouble with pop email settings? I can't seem to get my Comcast account to work on this new version.
 
I have this v3 leak installed only because OTD sent out a tweet I picked up. ;-) I have to be careful or I'll miss something. LOL.
 
Sorry to repeat my question, but I never got a response earlier. It was in the middle of the craziness this afternoon so I understand.
Is anyone else unable to open "my contact card" in the people app? Just wanna see if it's something on my end.
 
not sure if anyone posted this, but just something I noticed.. the Flan gallery displays properly in both landscape and portrait views, however it force closes when I try to access the menu.

any similar experiences??

I am able to open it. It has my facebook status there as well and I am able to click on that as well. I can also update my status too.
 
if i flash this new update, and lets say the OTA comes out next week (albeit unlikely), will i be able to flash the OTA over this leaked copy?
 
really wierd before update i had tmz from market installed on phone now when i search after update and i cannt even find it so i tried other things and matching searches to my moto droid its like searches on my moto droid have more results then searches on my eris. then i tried to find tv.com and discovery channel.com app and cannt find them does anyone know why this is it seems anything with a video viewer cannt be found any sugestions?

For comcast on 2.1v3
Open mail from the all programs screen
once mail opens
Menu->More->New Account
Add your email address
Select Manual Setup
change the pop server to mail.comcast.net
Select Next
change the smtp server to smtp.comcast.net
Select Next
Change account display name if you want (optional)
Select Finish

I don't guarantee that will work, but it did for me...:D

I had the same issue for Yahoo!Mail. Make sure you have the Protocol set to "IMAP", IMAP server is "imap.mail.yahoo.com", Security "None" and port 143.

Yeah that's right, I joined the big league, finally!

I did the update, and ALL my stuff is still there. Just had to re-download some apps. I saved all my pics, tunes, etc on my laptop but never did have to go recover them.

CADDY-DA-MAN!! Seriously though, thanks man. And thanks to ALL of those that have given advice!

I thought the tutorial stated that that stuff all gets wiped out with the installation and has to be saved and then retrieved after it's done.
 
Still having the same issue on this version, depending on which Bluetooth device I use...On my BT Stereo in my car, I get Paired But Not Connected, if I choose connect, It will only connect for a second then disconnect. It will connect as Media Player on that same Stereo (I have tried turning off that in BT options, but still no luck). The last version this worked on was original 1.5.

I can pair and connect to Motorola BT headphones without a problem. Have another Eris (still on 1.5) at work that came the same day, it pairs and connects without issue.

That's what I thought. But it was just some apps for me, that were waiting for me to re-download.
Not that I had much, but all 33 pics were there, all 50-somethings songs were there. Oh yeah, I gotta re-do my bookmarks, but that's it.

Good Find!! Never thought to check those settings as it was automatic before... Thanks!!!

This process wont touch your SD card...
