You're good then, should be booted within 5 minutes and then restore your data via the lg backup app or titanium backup.
 
I really didn't need to do a restore because I just got this phone and didn't have anything on it. But I have one question. Is there a thread detailing what each different nova setting does ?

No, you can look at Youtube videos or just mess around with it yourself, the launcher doesn't require root so it wont be able to do any software damage to your device.
 
Did you change anything about gps. Mine worked fine on stock. Amd ok. On simplicity. Bit since i updated simplicity. It will not lock at all. Which sucks becaise i do a lot of geo caching. My wifes stock/root f7 works great

yeah i switched gps.conf files, the ones in the past were edited and the one in 2.0.0 is back to stock. Wipe data and restore only app data, might work or not, who knows this is the LG Optimus F7.

I am already quite familiar with flashing ROMs on Android Devices. This is my 3rd one. I already had installed a previous custom ROM and returned this phone to stock back and forth several times. I also had unbricked the phone a few times, myself during experimentation. In fact, earlier today, I made both a Titanium Backup and a ClockWorkMod backup of the phone.

The only issue I see that caused this is because the kernel in the zip you flashed was not for ZV5. Eithery way it should really be a huge problem you should of easily been able to boot into download mode. Keep it on the charger for a while "wall charger" then try getting into download mode. If you have an extra battery lying around that could work as well but I see no problem here as to why you can boot into download mode. Was the phone above 50% before you flashed the zip?

I have installed the latest ClockWorkMod early May 2014.

The battery was around lower than but close to 50%. However, what really happened was that:
  1. I flashed the SimpKer.zip file.
  2. ClockWorkMod quickly finished intalling the file.
  3. I selected 'reboot.'
  4. The phone shuts down but does not turn on.

Frankly, I already set the phone on the charger, but let me do this again.

What is odd was that, when I went to recharge the phone, the menu button flashed green until I held the power button (attempting to get into a mode). The menu button does not flash anymore then. After I left the phone charging around an hour and a half (a full charge, from my past experience), I plugged the cable into my computer first then to my phone while holding the "lower volume" button. My computer activated its "plug and play" feature (those windows that say "Please wait while I download the appropriate drivers"), displaying a generic device picture. However, half-way through the feature, the picture changed to a smartphone picture, thus telling me that the computer recognizes my smartphone and knows that the device I plugged in is a smartphone. That is that, though; the screen of my smartphone is still off, whether I attempted a download mode or not.

Looking into Device Manager now, I can see that my phone is a LGE Android Platform USB Serial Port at port COM9. I think that came from the last time I had worked on my phone. Unplugging the USB cable makes the entry go away. Afterwards, after some time, when I plugged the smartphonephone into the charger (cable still attached to smartphone; plugged plug into wall), my smartphone had the menu button glow green during a second then flashed red during one moment.

Download mode is volume up for 2-3 seconds then plug in the USB cord without letting go of the volume up button.
 
Whenever I follow the instructions in the official Unbrick/Unroot LG Optimus F7 (Boost Mobile) thread (over and over, including re-downloading and installing everything, the download fails after 5 seconds, since the tool says that the Device Modeil is different and ends up with F0000002.

Do you need more information?

Your device is boost mobile right lol not US Cellular? sorry just gotta ask cuase you never know:D. Did you select the LG870_20130528_LGFLASHv151.dll as the .dll in the box? If your device is a boost mobile device then read over the thread you're probably missing something simple. use the picture guide to configure the ports as well if you didn't do that.
