Don't worry about the date. They all say that. Just follow step by step and you'll be fine.
 
My wife just informed me that im dueing her phone before i get any sleep. The image.zip ip dowloaded 50% on her eris right now.

I guess ill be busy setting her phone back after the update for awhile.
 
I installed v3 last night and so far I like it. I do have the signal bug, the security code is not working right. Other than those few bugs it works great, much faster than my previous version. Has anyone tried streaming hulu?

someone probably helped with this already but im not gonna read thru umpteen pages .. so sounds like you still have the old file on the sd card as well as the new. maybe delete the old and try again.

Well im sti waiting for the file to finish downloading...jst thought id ask a question...um when the official update comes and we install it, can we root our phones? Cuz those live wallpapers r intimidating..lol.:)

By the way i checked the reception on her phone it had 82 before and now after the install 81 if that helps some of yall that was wonder about true reception. Her phone still is getting the same amount of bars also.

Since I just installed V2 of 2.1 and just got my phone back to restored to how I wanted it.... I thinnnnk I'll just wait for the OTA .. BAH!
 
I just installed v3 leak over my v2 leak. Everything seems fine so far, however, I cannot log into my yahoo mail account. Every time I try a warning says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password". Anybody else getting this?

about where I'm at. I'll give it another two weeks I think. Last rumor that made sense to me was it would be after the incredible came out. But I know that means nothing too.
 
did the update, everything has been working fine except... my phone is slower and less responsive than it was with 1.5. I use ATK.

any speed suggestions?

I don't use ATK anymore. It was awkward and basic, and I always ended up killing tasks I didn't want to by mistake.

I installed an app called OSMonitor, I read about it somewhere on here but I forget which thread. It's in the market though, I know that. It gives a percentage of what each task is using of the CPU and you can kill individual processes here. If you're a bit more tech-savey and know which tasks to look for, I highly recommend this app.

My images now display with the installation of leak 2.1 v3


On a side note, I setup the built-in exchange app now that it supports the strict security policies. And with the addition of LockPicker to bypass the lock screen, it works really well. But, it did slow down my phone tremendously and battery life was decreasing. I disabled it for the time being and went back to using TouchDown.

im using v3 too tho.... is there different ones?

This should read FOLDER.

If I remember correctly it shows this date until the first reboot, then the date is different.
 
Took the plunge. So far, so good. No problems making/receiving calls; wifi and 3G data transfer are about the same as before; all my apps work. All in all, a good day.
 
installed v3 ok friday and I just noticed that my pinch and zoom is gone. Will restart to try and fix it, buy wondering if this is a bug or just a fluke.
 
I also notice that pinch to go to helicopter mode doesn't work in v3 for me, either.

Also, out is just as laggy as v2 was, really, especially after making phone calls. It's like working as a phone really throws the device for a loop.

And like in v2, opening the browser often just goes to a random page in the history rather than the page you were on before you closed it.
