Root [ROM] ZV4 updated stock ROM

Actually the link is for superuser by koush. That's odd that it didn't work for you guys, it worked perfectly fine for me. But I'll add to the op to use SuperSU.

What else is new... So many things one person posts that don't work for anyone else on here. :p

Honestly though, chainfires SU is the only one that has ever consistently worked right for me.

Chainfires SU zip includes BusyBox too, btw

I decided to run a benchmark with Antutu before I started loading it up again. Here's a screenshot. :)
Not sure how it compares to original benchmarks, but things feel a bit more responsive now. :)

ok so where do i find the update that downloaded itself to my phone? ANd how do I turn off the system updates? There was a way to do it on the lg optimus f3 i used to have.

I finally got it. I used supersu package 1.91 since i had it on my sd and it worked! Your benchmark score was as high as i could get before after tweaking everything now thats where we start from! Great work guys :)

:D

Hey sands, I noticed you still have the old baseband. The radio.img didn't get flashed for you guys I'm guessing. I'll have to upload a patch.
Unless you guys wanna patch it yourself, I think you can flash it in fastboot. Fastboot flash radio radio.img, the img should be inside the zip and you can extract it. Your baseband should be c8 not c1.

I'll definitely flash it if you don't mind uploading a copy, is the newest kernel part of this rom? LG has the update stock zip and kernel posted on their open source website and it is V4 as well. My phone is working so much better now, im noticing much better memory numbers as well

Confirming that the radio did not update on my phone either. Have not tried flashing it separately, but I would imagine the result will be the same.

I was hesitant on enabling fastboot or flashing this as I've had so many close calls with this phone, but I have to say I'm quite glad I did. Things are so much smoother and responsive so far! :D

So I've got this rom up and running on my phone also! Everything seems to be running pretty smoothly! :) And along with bg4m3r and Sands the radio didn't update for me either. I've tried to flash the radio.img file from the zip and it didn't change anything.

I can concur! I noticed a difference too that when i went to sleep i left the phone unplugged i had 89% and when i woke up i still had 89%. Its responding to multiple tasks so much more efficient now as well. I appreciate the help from both you and donjuro on this one, because it definitely worked out great :D

Well I'm still on V3 & I can't believe the difference in battery health compared to older droids I've had! No matter what update you have a lil Greenify with our Volts go along way! I too have noticed I had 100% and a few hours later still 100% amazing! My old rooted Samsung prevail would die in under 2 hours just leaving it on! Same with my old s-off & rooted evo-v, my girls Galaxy Ring same thing she may get 3 maybe 4 hours with lite use but nothing at all compared to our Volts.

Haha, why does your build number say pimped? But here's what your baseband should look like.
Haha I use pimp my rom for a few things and one of the options is to add pimped to the software screen :) Any suggestions on the baseband? My data has been working okay today, I've been in a hospital for most of the morning so I'll see how it does when i leave. Portland is weird with the 4g.. sometimes it's blazingly fast

uploadfromtaptalk1411667964802.jpgI've made a few adjustments and debloated my user and system apps and i am using no frills cpu app set to performance and this is where my antutu score at the moment... With v3 with the same adjustments i was lucky if i got over 17000. Memory usage is still great and the multi tasking addition seems to be making a difference. 4g ever since i left the hospital with no hiccups at all :D

I was removing apps, and as per my process, I cleared the dalvik-cache and rebooted. When it went through the Android Is Upgrading deal, it says there was 150 apps. Before the update it was only 67. O.o What gives?

Thought I'd post my benchmark too I'm on V3 still, wish I didn't have to take the update, I'm happy with the way my phone runs now. Well happy modding!

Well, if it's any incentive, v4 reported 18333 on just straight stock. Replicate what you've done here and you might get over 19000. Also, how do you have things set up?

Ok this is cool.
Been gone for a bit (life has been so crazy playing with my phone just doesn't happen) but got the update notice so came here and found this.

Now I have everything ready to go even nuked the laf but when I boot into fastboot my PC can see the device but I must not have the correct fastboot driver. Could somebody point me to the driver I need.

This is where i got everything needed to set up fastboot. Check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

Thanks already figured it out.
Running ZV4 now.
So far seems to be going good.

Looks like your radio didn't update either... Weird. We need to get that patched. I'm having issues with my phone switching between 3G and LTE.
