Just to try to clear this up, eieio was replying to me saying we should make something up and see if it ends up on Ozcar site. I don't think he was mocking anybody.
 
hey Jackson, ask Dan if Sprint is reworking the Nascar app for EVO 4G, it would be sweet if they could make it more like the device you can rent at the track with all the incar video.

I Would not even answer these type of post. We (who have been here since the beginning) know how legit you are. We all know that if you tell us something that Dan tells you, that info can change since Dan has no 100% control of Sprint. So things can change, so that does not mean that Dan and Jackson are fake or what not.

That is whats it like when one speculates, one person says this and by the end of the line its something totally else. We now have a few reputable sites out there confirming that EVO will come with 2.2 all due to a rumor that we started speculating here which then Ozcar took, posted and now everyone is spreading like gospel.

they are reworking all of the apps for the evo. This is what is taking sooo long haha. In apps like that they are trying to incorporate things like live video, as it is possible with 4G

If its shipping with 2.1 why are the apps being re-worked?

They have had that long enough to have a completed device.

It's funny, the amount of manufactured disinfo that has been manufactured in the absence of real information. Some people talk enough and they can convince themselves that what they're saying is true.

Eh, to be expected, though. I have a feeling we're simply not going to learn anything new until the announcement, or immediately before (someone sees a banner in the place or whatnot).

We're all just too damn excited.

Because he said there making a special modded version of 2.1 for the EVO or something along those lines!! Listen, w/e it comes with, it'll be the newest of whats out!! then when 2.2 froyo comes out im sure will get the OTA update and be good to go!!!
 
I'm thinking he meant modded as in sense ui and maybe upgraded sprint apps... I can't see how or why they would mod android 2.1.... Instead of just going with 2.2 pluse thanks to the sense ui if history is any sign it will take sometime before we get a 2.2 ota the hero still doesn't have 2.1

To work with certain apps that rely on 4G... kinda makes sense. At this point I dont care what they do, just so long as they do it and get it done get the phones shipped so we all can have them in our hands sooner then later and we will all be happier then a kid in a candy store

htc already has 2.1 with sense on the incredible with the same resolution.

i was at the top of my 4g tower ready to jump when i heard the news that this thread had come back like jesus so i came down...thanks to all involved for getting me back my fix....

speaking of multi tasking, i have a pre and am used to the whole card thing i.e having the ability to have several browsers open at the same time. i played with an incredible today and i wasn't able to make that happen. does anyone know if the android phones achieve this in some way...would i have to/can you change one or more of the home pages to internet browsers to do this. i saw on the phone that you can multi task in regards to apps and all that, but when i had facebook open, and tried to somehow close it but keep it active, and then open up another browser, i kept getting sent to the original web page...this is a great feature that i would hate to lose transitioning to an android phone, so if anyone knows how to do this can you share. grassy ass in advance

You can have multiple windows in the browser app.

Or tabs in Opera etc.
 
So Android made a special software update just for the EVO and HTC modified sense UI just for Sprint's new apps??
