Ok let me explain my self better... By kk stock i mean kk kernel,drivers,sys, etc.etc... u now what i mean when its about rewriting all info in it... rewriting apps well all.. for our F6
I hav never said that kk cam or cm cam fully functional. It partial works for example in both of ur built for me it worked.. not with the correct configuration...only 3mp back... now we can use alternative apps with global setting to make the HW work. Now im not trying to confuse anyone... i hav been a good follower of all ur wrk. I think U can pull magic over many other Dev's here. With much respect to all of them.
Now many newbies want thing in a snap of a finger.... all i want is for us to hav as many builts we can. In a matter of taste but fully functional.
Ant take a vantage of their phones as much as they can.
So. I may not be the best n the fastes building. Or moding... but i can filter we details. Thnx ... so let get all this roms to work cus either make our own... or spend top$$$ for it by buying a device ;):thumbup::banghead:
 
Another thing last manufacturing bulk of Optimus F6 was in 2011 and last exports n distribution form LG was late 2012
Vendor All they hav in their drawers its a bunch of leftovers... that they need to sell... inside info!
So it no new HW revisions. Lg New ph model new cam.

hey did not mean any disrespect to you or anything

it is just that not all the F6 phones have the same hardware in them

some of them have the ov5693 cam, and the ones that do have that, only have one camera working no matter what camera app they use




when some one says "Stock Rom"

that mean the ROM that come with the phone

since the F6 500 did not come with KK, there is no KK stock for it


like I said no disrespect, I think we just had a little communication mix up there
 
No problema....apologies accepted... I apologize to you n those that i hav confused. Im gonna dig into the optimus L70. Cus its similar HW wise to f6 n its running on Kk 4.4. I'll check if its anything that we can use from it.
 
Not sure if this is a bug or if you left these features out. When you goto app drawer and touch the menu button (button left from the home button) it does not bring up the normal menu you would see from jb ROMs also the same applies when you goto gallery there is no settings menu when clicking on soft menu button. Other then that so far its a smooth ROM I will be testing all day to see how it does thanks chefs. :-)

Flashed it last night ... feels similar to the L70 really smooth. Unfortunately for me my back cam still doesn't work and usb tether doesnt work either... really bumed out about the cam i wanted to keep this rom but i need my cam so back to Xperion. Thanks
 
Uhhhh.....hmmm...So...

After installation...I experienced a problem with not having any data connection....

I checked to make sure data was on...And made sure it was on a provider I subscribe to...

I even checked my voicemail...And all was fine.....

Any idea where I might have messed up the install?

It worked perfectly over wifi....

I am trying to wait to see if that same problem is mentioned...to see if solution was figured...without pushing...Or seeming ungrateful.....

Can anyone think of what might have been done silly on my part?...

That is only true if your phone is not unlocked and service is locked to a carrier. The cost of this device will and is a great value for pay as you go carriers. Which requires an unlocked device.
Once you have phone service , setting up an APN is basic. This let's anyone use our killer phone. And it increases the useful life of the f6.
You could just share it with a link to it here. Please list the carriers it supports when and if you do.
 
Try these APN settings for metro . Don't use (,dun )the first time its for tethering, if you've been reading along.
if n/w reinstall as stated in the first 2 posts of this thread. Remember let it set 10 mins. Then do the set it up.
If that don't do it send me a p/m and I'll send you a nandriod link of my own phone. Short of that Go hit up game theroies experion. Thats the only ROM your posts do show you have not tried and had a problem on. And it is a custom ROM. Just find something that works for you. I'll help.

I got tethering on!
U are gonna need SQlite editor app, n so far tethering is tru usb.
*Open sqlite
*Go to settings db
*Go to global
*Look for tethering dun required
*Change value for #1 to #0
*Save
*Now connect usb
*Go to setting tethering and click on usb
""Now u should be able to tether""
---You may hav2 repeat steps
On reboots .----
