Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

It didn't pick up any finger prints or smudges for me.

The install is nothing too difficult, it's just a bit frustrating if you are somewhat of a perfectionist. You will have to try several times (a dozen or more) if you REALLY want to get it just right.

I wonder if it'd be any different trying to get any of the full screen protectors on perfectly since it takes precision to perfectly align it.

I put Zagg on 2 Incredible and it went really well, i love mine. Just follow the directions and take your time. As for it being foggy or having orange peel look. Maybe the foggy looks is in reference to the anti-glare? The orange peel really isn't noticeable. I never see it unless I hold it at an extreme angle and try to find it. If you're the type of person that goes into Best Buy and calculates dead pixel ratios for all their tvs, you might notice the orange peel once in a while.

How do the Verizon sold screen protectors install. Are they adhesive backed or are they static cling?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has purchased these for the answer.

I am hoping they are static - to get me through until SGPstore or Boxwave starts shipping - I hate the adhesive kind.

They are adhesive - I had one on mine until I was able to get something else. It came off with no problem. Tiny bit of residue at the ends where it only covered the screen, but with a couple of flicks of micro-fiber cloth it was slick as a whistle! :D

They're static, just peel and stick.

I just got the Phantom Skinz today and went step by step to put it on. It has not even been 1 hour, so I know it needs more time to cure. I got all the bubbles out that you could feel. There are just spots of micro bubbles, how long before these go away? Or did I screw it up? I read above that you need to let the water sit to let the bubbles settle. I didn't make it really soapy. Thanks everyone!!

After 24 hours the Phantom Skinz is working out great. My last phone, a Blackberry, had the Zagg and it turned yellow and always suffered from peeling (and dust collecting) at the edges. The Zagg was disappointing, especially given its high price.

I put my Phantom Skinz screen protector on last night. I followed the instructions and it looks absolutely awesome. You can't even tell I have a screen protector on it. Without the screen protector, I would get awful fingerprints. Now I don't have any fingerprints anymore. I would recommend that you try to let most of the water drip off the protector by holding it sideways before applying so as not to get the screen too wet. I have to admit I was a little nervous with the speaker and optical trackpad getting wet. I let my phone dry overnight and there are NO bubbles, haze, or streaks. It is absolutely clear and I think the screen looks better in the sun now. This is coming from someone that is very nit-picky. I would definitely recommend this protector.:)

I'm seeing plenty of haze from my phantom skinz today. I used both of them up since I thought I screwed it up the first time. Now it hasn't been a full 24 hours yet so it may settle down. But I've installed various skins before including Zagg and Boxwave but never had any issues with micro bubbles like I am having now with these phantom Skinz.

Has anyone ever removed a PhantomSkinz protector after it was dried for a few days? If so, does it leave any residue that is difficult to get off the screen?

Any issues? Thoughts now that it's dried and been powered on?

Sorry, I did not see your question. No problems whatsoever. Although you dip it into a cup of warm water with a small drop of liquid soap, just make sure you hold it by its side so the excess water drips off before applying. I did a google search and there are posts where people have ruined there phone by using too much water. The screen protector is awesome. Almost no more fingerprints and the screen looks better in the sun now. I don't see how there can be a better protector out there. I used the ones from VZW on my old Treo and there is no comparison. You can't beat Phantom Skinz for the looks and price.

The Phantom Skinz is finger print resistant? If that's the case, I'll def get this over the Steinheil Crystal (whenever it comes out). I was on the fence. I did find a comment that said that with the phantom skinz, you can scratch it with your finger nail, but with the steinheil, you can't

I just put my Phantomskinz screen protector on and its really hazy. I hope it gets better, do u really have to leave it off for 24hrs?? i dont think i can go that long lol

As someone else said, if you have any experience with window tint you can do a zaggs.
As long as you keep it wet everything will be fine.
My two went on fine and just like tint just move it around till its where you want it and then chase out any bubbles and go over it a bunch of times in every direction to make sure it is down tight, as long as you keep the edge of the squeegee wet you are good to go.
You can go over it a lot as long as you keep the stuff wet, not destroying the new phone with water wet, just so there is no surface tension.
I also left them for 24 hours the first 12 face down to make sure if any water got in it drained and to keep the screen protector flat if it tried to curl.
You cant tell they are there, no bubbles, no orange peel, perfect.

Well, it was finger print resistant when applying it :)

When using it, it does still pick up finger prints, but I guess it may be a little better than the glass.

Its like blurry?? ill try to take a pic later

It's definitely NOT supposed to be blurry.

Did you use too much soap? Was your water not clear?

Mine is clear as a whistle, you cannot even tell that there is anything on from most angles.

Do the Steinheils require a wet application?

I was curious about this as well. I watched a youtube video and it didn't look wet...just sticky but I've never applied a shield before so I have no idea what the Steinheil application process is actually called.

What did you replace the Verizon screen protector with, and how does it compare? I just bought the Verizon 3-pack today to keep me covered till I find something better. Thanks in advance!

okay, i can tell you that I applied mine this morning. There is still some haziness and micro-bubbles. We will know more tomorrow after the 24 hr cure period. I think the worst thing I did was maybe shake too much water off from when I initially applied. I have access to compressed air, so I was able to blow out any residual water in the speaker and optical pad.
